Does the Quran contain mistakes, or does it display knowledge that's proof of divine authorship?

 Yes Mistakes:

No mistakes, and proof of miraculous knowledge:

Quran (Pickthall)

"004.082 Will they not then ponder on the Qur'an ? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found therein much incongruity."

It's cow poo, a book that predicts things after they've happened is probably the most useless book ever written.

You are thinking of corrupt Bible. The noble Quran is most perfect, and final revelation. Yes.

Photosynthesis, and Transpiration.

How can anyone 1,400 years ago know, and detail a process science even today does not fully understand?

Quran (Pickthall)

"018.045 And coin for them the similitude of the life of the world as water which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingleth with it and then becometh dry twigs that the winds scatter. Allah is able to do all things."

I voted "Is this a Joke?" just to be a dick.

The Koran has the oldest account of Jesus's birth before all the embellishments were added. I respect it for that.

How can someone 1,400 years ago know that one cannot see a full moon during the day?

"19: Which phases of the moon can we see during the day?

Answer: Actually, you can see all of them except for the phases new and full. So, the phases you can see during the day are: waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, waning gibbous, last quarter, and waning crescent. For the moon to be visible during the day, it must be up in the sky at the same time as the sun, but not so close to the sun in the sky that you can't see it. The full moon rises at sunset, is up all night, and sets at sunrise, so you can't see a full moon in the daytime. And for a few days closest to new moon, the moon is too close to the sun in the sky, and the phase is too thin for you to see."

https://planetarium.madison.k12.wi.us/mooncal/moonfaq.htm

Quran (Pickthall)

"084.016 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset,
084.017 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth,
084.018 And by the moon when she is at the full,"

Most miraculous. Yes.

How can someone 1,400 years ago not only know, but describe in detail the mass extinction of the dinosaurs? The asteroid that caused a nuclear winter that led to massive die offs.

Quran (Pickthall)

"024.043 Hast thou not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathereth them, then maketh them layers, and thou seest the rain come forth from between them; He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail, and smiteth therewith whom He will, and averteth it from whom He will. The flashing of His lightning all but snatcheth away the sight."

Most miraculous the unbelievers deny. Yes.

Oh, that's some serious "mass comparison". It doesn't say it caused any harm to animals. People always saw meteor showers though. Some collected them

"The Rouran wait for the showers of iron, then gather it to make their weapons"- Bamboo Annuals

Then we have the PIE origin of the Phaeton story and the Uralic story when Ukko asked for a new sun to be made- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaali_crater

They can't as humans didn't exist 65 million years ago. And that's not evidence of the dinosaur extinction in any case as it's just a general description of an aerial conflagration. There are any number of reasons for aerial bombardment, from meteoric to volcanic.

How did someone know 1,400 years ago that earthquakes are caused by shifting land plates?

The Mayan knew it. They explain it for earthquakes and fossil sea life on mountains in their codexes.

This is thread is a joke, right?

I mean, we're not expected to actually take this seriously, are we?

Do you deny evolution? How can someone 1,400 years ago know this?

Quran (Pickthall)

"056.058 Have ye seen that which ye emit ?
056.059 Do ye create it or are We the Creator ?

056.061 That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not.
056.062 And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect?"

I couldn't get past 2 min 23 sec of the second video.

Ants are similar to humans predicted by the Quran.  Want proof? A. ants bury their dead similar to humans, C. they get together to chat once in a while , E. they exchange goods in markets.

What a crock, next time I squash an ant (for the faint hearted it'll be obviously unintentionally) I'll keep an eye out for the funeral.
