I'd read it's 18K gold and 103kg (about 230 lbs.) and worth about $4 million...

I thought it'd be heavier, I mean, 103kg is only the weight of one large-ish guy.

I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it.

After all, they must have a Number One suspect.

And a Number Two.

Yes.. how DID they steal it ? I mean.. you've got to break into the palace, and then somehow move a 100Kg object through the palace and out into the yard ? 100Kg is HEAVY. Even four people would end up being flushed moving THAT weight ?

Doesn't the palace have burglar alarms ? Or security guards ?

Police got there minutes after the theft.

103 kilos? Two strong men should be able to handle that easily

A 66 year old man has been detained for the crime

But he is not giving up where the toilet is.

Apparently the police are seeking a second man. A No. 2, so to speak ?

Police arrest the number two...

"A second man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing an 18-carat solid gold toilet from Blenheim Palace valued at around £4.8 million. "

easy, you do it at night, you either dress like a cleaner crew, or you are cleaner crew, come in with a bin as if you are collecting garbage, put it in a bin and roll it out,  that is how night cleaner crew stole laptops , monitors, from one of our tenant many years ago,  i'm sure bathroom had no cameras, but to outside  of the bathroom  cameras it looked nothing out of the ordinary, just a cleaning crew doing their job.

I am surprised to see that visitors haven't taken chunks or bits from it.
