REMAIN MEDIA STAYS QUIET AS COURT RULES NO DEAL BREXIT DOES NOT BREACH IRISH PEACE DEAL

BELFAST (Reuters) - Belfast’s High Court dismissed on Thursday a case arguing that a British exit from the European Union without a withdrawal agreement would contravene Northern Ireland’s 1998 peace accord, saying the issue was political and not for the courts.

Lawyers for McCord had argued that a no-deal Brexit would breach the 1998 Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to the British-run province, but Judge Bernard McCloskey said the case “trespassed upon the prohibited domain of the non-justiciable”.

The imposition of a hard border in Northern Ireland in the event of a no-deal Brexit would not breach human rights, the high court in Belfast has ruled.

Court cases, referenda and elections only count when the result goes your way. All others outcomes can be safely ignored ;)

"Remain media stays quiet (BBC)" says the thread Title.

From 12th September, same day as Reuters....

"A judge at the High Court in Belfast has dismissed a legal challenge against a no-deal Brexit.

"One of the three cases brought was by the victims' campaigner Raymond McCord who plans to appeal the decision."

At the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-49676133

tsk tsk

Was it on the T.V. news? Plus that link is on the Irish page link, as it has quite a impact on the whole brexit thing don't you think it a bit disingenuous of the BBC not to put that as one of their main items on the English page, because you know they would if the decision had gone the other way, don't you?
