Trump’s Loose Lips with Ukraine

Part is Trump, and part is stubbornness due to Trump hate.

I will always think infrastructure could have avoided this mess.  Dems came to the White House ready to talk, Trump said you can't do that and investigate me too.  One or the other.

If Trump had gone ahead with infrastructure building, he would have been a hero to more than his solid base.  He could have taken the lions share of the credit for that.    If he had really made a plan to replace Obamacare he could have been a hero there too.  Those two things would have helped all average Americans a lot.

Besides a lost chance for Trump and the Dems, it was a lost chance for the country.

andthen seems offended by resistance; he must have  forgotten McConnell's boast about making sure Obama got nothing done.   Now personally, I see a lesson there.  When a president like Obama or Trump is only a charismatic figure to his base and can't build a bridge and compromise with the other side, not much of the people's business gets done.

Care to cite an instance where Barry reached across the aisle?  He didn't.  He was fond of saying - "I won, remember?"  He never tried to get a budget approved, just threatened to shut it down if the spending he wanted wasn't agreed to.  Your analogy isn't just weak, it's actually a lie.

Trump throws out completely bananas argument for ignoring impeachment — and basically acting like a king

Quote

At base, there are so many bogus claims in this letter that it’s almost difficult to wrap one’s mind around. One problem is the White House seems to have literally zero grasp of what the Constitution even says about the impeachment process and the differing functions of the House and the Senate regarding removal of a president.

Andthen, that was EXACTLY my point!  Obama did not try compromise. You did not even read the sentence did you?  You were triggered by the mention of Obama and thought I was going to say something good about him.

When a president  of the United States for example Obama or Trump is only a charismatic figure to his base... that means Obama was only charismatic to  a subset of democrats and Trump is only charismatic to a subset of republicans  and neither one of them compromised with the other side.

Graham plans to invite Giuliani to testify on Ukraine affair

A small part of me wonders if this is how Graham plans to get the GOP out from under Trump's thumb. Of course it looks like he's helping to investigate the Bidens by putting Rudy on the stand but damn he has to know the dude is unhinged and liable to say damn near anything when questioned , by either side.

I'm not sure how you define that term down under but when people spend most of their time with the Hollywood crowd and in the NY to DC corridor, yeah, that's far Left.

They’re rich, white, media manipulative, truth manipulating close-minded, money-obsessed politician owners.
that ain’t no left dance Chief.

Ambassador to E.U. called Trump before texting 'no quid pro quo' to top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine

Quote

Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland consulted directly with President Donald Trump before telling the top U.S. diplomat in Ukraine that there had been "no quid pro quo” regarding the administration's pressure campaign on the country and urging the diplomat to stop texting about his concerns, a person with knowledge of the call confirmed to NBC News.

Sondland spoke to Trump by phone on Sept. 9 before responding to acting Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor's remark that it would be “crazy” to link Ukraine assistance to help with a political campaign, the person said. When Sondland responded several hours later, he told Taylor that Trump had been “crystal clear” that there had been no quid pro quo.

I doubt the Democrats are banking on the straight out trancelike bumbling disciples of their master Trump for votes, but hopefully some of the ones that voted for him in 2016 and have been thru the horrors to see what a deceitful, arrogant, cold blooded, crook he is after four years of constant scandals, will finally decide 'enough is enough of this embarrassing individual who doesn't represent us Americans' and will give him the flick for someone else.

Not that I'm expecting you to understand anything that I've just mentioned above.  You'd have to get over your Trump withdrawal symptoms before you start rationalising in a normal state again LOL.

The Left....i.e. ...Tyranny...actually is the normal state...pretty much from the beginning of civilization.

Tyranny invented Socialism.  Freedom invented Capitalism.

The Left seeks to enslave. The Right wants people to be free.

One cannot be Pro Socialism and Pro Freedom at the same time.

Trump is Pro Capitalism and therefore Pro Freedom.  That's why we love him. He is a Freedom Fighter.

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. . . . There were no needy persons among them.

Tyranny made them do it!!!!!

That's pretty close to idiotic Farmer.  How about staying on topic.  Sharing is not Socialism and you know it.  It's called freely giving to each other.  Socialism must TAKE...and it must TAKE from the producers and distribute to the non-producers...thereby enslaving the producers.  Grow up and put your little blble away for sunday school class.

The world you're advocating and promoting here would see the actual enslavement or death of 99% of the population due the greed of the top 1%. Doesn't sound like freedom to me.

Oh but Socialism and Communism is so much better.

There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.

I didn't say it was better. But there needs to be a happy medium between the 2.

The world he's referencing is descriptive of the United States, so--from a personal perspective--your casualty figures are far too high. Socialism is Communism you vote for--and all Communism is, is government monopoly of capitalism.

No such thing as free reign capitalism in the modern world.

They don't hear you. I know you know, I just wanted to tell you that I know too :D

They can't make their own conclusions, they have their gospel of greed to blindly parrot.

Look at the bright side: those who are so afraid of socialism, are following a puppet controlled by KGB officer. It's so morbidly funny it's not even tragic anymore :D

From your point of view it certainly is, since it points out how bizarrely stupid is the trap in which you fell.

By the way, you're off topic.

The topic is Trump extorting favours from Ukraine, with intention to gain personal advantage over his political competition. Sane Americans say that's against your Constitution.

How can you live with that?

And y'all wonder why I use the phrase "lying liberal" often and freely?
