I'm glad we're both amused.

But to be honest, I'm even gladder because you're paying for this tragicomedy the whole world is enjoying. For free. How generous... almost socialist.

Which reminds of that time Trump demanded protection money from NATO members. Because someone told him that's what NATO is for. I wonder, who was that old soviet propagandist who filled Trump's head with such classic agitprop?

(I'm going to keep mentioning this until the end of time. And a while longer.)

Amusing, yet sad, the pathetic defense of Socialism by those living amidst the shattered ruins of two of the biggest Socialists States in history, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union. States touted as superior to the Western Democracies, proudly proclaiming how they would bury us economically. Yet, look what happened to their great experiment, unable to compete, held together only by the peace of the gun, shattered irreparably by nothing more than the winds of change. They died with a whimper.

Well, if your own industry wasn't selling to your own military few thousand times overpriced pieces of latest technology that is never used, maybe you could have more affordable wars

And if your prices wasn't so out of any proportion, we'd actually spend more on your weapons because sane people always look for best-buys, not ripoffs.

Besides, any frothing against socialism while your country is bailing out banks is ridiculous.

Yes, yes, I know you do not support that, I'm just noticing the obvious.

What is sad is I've watched 3 people who I'm friends with go from staunch anti universal healthcare to pro after being diagnosed with life altering illnesses and being unable to pay for it due to our current joke of a system. One even lost their business and much more after being diagnosed with brain cancer. They had to resort to asking friends and strangers for money through Gofundme which unfortunately is an all too common thing these days.

One-third of all donations on the popular fundraising site GoFundMe goes towards health care costs, the company’s CEO told CBS News.

It's your Trump that whimpered in Helsinki. About the US being responsible for the bad relations with Russia.

You're on the wrong side of history.

The Left....i.e. ...Tyranny...actually is the normal state...pretty much from the beginning of civilization.

Tyranny invented Socialism.  Freedom invented Capitalism.

The Left seeks to enslave. The Right wants people to be free.

One cannot be Pro Socialism and Pro Freedom at the same time.

Trump is Pro Capitalism and therefore Pro Freedom.  That's why we love him. He is a Freedom Fighter.

From the first to the last letter, everything your post mentions is wrong, including the dotted lines.

'Tyranny invented Socialism'

That's horrible.

Accessible and affordable health care is not socialism, it's basic humanity and common sense. If anyone wants to call it socialism, fine, be it socialism, but do not let people die just because they're not loaded with insane amounts of money.

i can guarantee, those who came from USSR to USA will fight to not let socialism win here, they came here to get away from socialism.

We are history and the Obama administration is responsible for souring relations with Russia. It meddled in the internal affairs of Ukraine, and was complicit in fomenting the overthrow of a democratically elected President. That was the wrong side of history.

Yeah, tyranny didn't invent socialism, socialism is just very attractive to tyrants.

Ew, you're totally Russified. Now you're agitproping against the legitimate ousting of Yanukovich too and forgetting the whole Cold War little detail. Ridiculous. But morbidly amusing. I've never interacted with completely irrational people before. Do you mind if I ask - do you wear exceptionally long ties lately too?

Social remedial programs are, in practice, not necessarily bad things--but they are not the answer for everything. They need a strong capitalist infrastructure from which to draw wealth to survive. They're not self-supporting, except in Communist economies which, invariably, have collapsed under their weight.

You're version of rationalism is akin to madness. Legitimate ouster? You're a Bolshevik by heart, obviously.

True. And theocracies too.

This is quite derailing, so I'll keep it very short: socialism is not evil, totalitarianism is. When thinking about socialism, why not taking socially sensible societies as an example and inspiration, instead of totalitarian hells that used socialism as an rhetorical excuse for terror?

How many times do you have to be told.  There is no Socialism in the West, only Socialist Party's that adopt some of their common and social values such as Medicare/Universal Healthcare and other such things that benefit the wide community.  Pure Socialism can't exist under Capitalism.  The Soviet Union was a Communist Regime but more like a mono Party dictatorship.  China is the same but has adopted Capitalism but overall it's just another mono Party dictatorship where the wealth is controlled by the Party and it's top officials, similar to Fascism.

It's 'your version', not 'you're version'. Learn your own language.

Yes, it was legitimate to throw out a remnant of soviet socialism and have truly free elections. You are a Stalinist by accident, since you follow your dear leader so blindly you don't even think anymore.

Aren't you too old to be hypnotized like that?

Because the fear is that socialism which is seen as done for the greater good at some point will be forced on people for the greater good, against their will, robbing people of the ability to have free choice about many things.

We could debate Marx and Engels versus Hegelianism if you like, but your penchant for hyperbole and obfuscation would, no doubt hinder the exchange. Socialism is parasitical of capitalism as it toils not, neither does it spin. It has to be carefully regulated lest it kills it's host. Truly free elections, what a laugh! When are they going to have one? Exactly how are they better off than before, with their Eastern Provinces in insurrection and Crimea under Russia's thumb? How long until a strong man rises from the masses and starts the hideous cycle over again? The only legitimate revolution is the one that succeeds. I'm afraid the jury's still out on Mother Russia's red-headed stepchild.

Tyranny doesn't have political affiliations.  You can call your dictatorship whatever you want, in the end you're still just a simple tyrant.  Mussolini was a tyrant and fascist.  The Nork idiot calls his dictatorship the Democratic People's Republic.  Mugabe was elected and became a tyrant.

That would have been 30+ years of American political and economic sabotage that at least contributed to the collapse of the USSR.
