Trump’s Loose Lips with Ukraine

Everybody that honors the Constitution wants to see that. We need to constantly reaffirm that we live by the rule of law.  Right now about half the people think the Democrats are a joke and the other half think the President is both sleezy and incompetent.  But it is not supposed to be a popularity contest, so let both sides present their best case.

I hear that Durham has “exponentially” expanded the investigation of the origin of the Trump Russia Collusion probe. Hopefully, the best case will be made available for all to see and judge.

The aid was never threatened.  The investigation of Burisma, unbeknownst to Trump according to official documentation, had been restarted months prior to this phone call.

The aid was delivered, not with held. Both participants to the call in question challenge any assertion the Democrat whistleblowers are making.   And you ignore all of these facts by stating that YOU know better what facts are relevant or not.

Oh I don't know what counts in the strange set up in the US. But I do know from what I have seen  and read, solely from Trumps transcripts and texts of his advisors that anywhere outside of the US and those countries where democracy is but a dream - what the president did would be considered an abuse of office. Off that I have no doubt.

If you were to go back to my first post on this issue - I have always been clear the abuse of office was simply requesting the investigation - no quid pro needed. If there was quid pro and the texts clearly indicate some consideration of quid pro, that just makes it worse.

In reality impeachment should not have been necessary - any principled leader would have straight up resigned.

We have a treaty with Ukraine concerning law enforcement cooperation. Trump runs the law enforcement branch of our government.

Are we to ignore possible criminal activity simply because one of the suspected perpetrators has declared a run for public office?

There is no evidence of anyone in your law enforcement branch having any knowledge of a requirement to investigate Biden, nor is there any evidence of a request for the President to initiate such an inquiry.

This is what it seems, a President using his authority to request another president to look for dirt on a potential political opponent.

US Jobless Rate Falls to Lowest Since 1969

The US unemployment rate decreased to 3.5 percent in September 2019 from 3.7 percent in the previous month and above below market expectations of 3.7 percent. The last time the rate was this low was in December 1969, when it also was 3.5 percent. Over the month, the number of unemployed persons decreased by 275,000 to 5.8 million.
The Federal Reserve’s forecast (made in December 2013) is for a rate of 6.3% at the end of this year, with not much chance of dropping below 5.5% before the end of 2016. Others are even gloomier: Trading Economics projects unemployment rates above 6% for the next couple of decades.

Document reveals Ukraine had already reopened probe of Hunter Biden-linked firm months before Trump phone call

"The U.S. government had open-source intelligence and was aware as early as February of 2019 that the Ukrainian government was planning to reopen the Burisma investigation,"

Solomon said that NABU -- an FBI-like anti-corruption agency in Ukraine -- requested the probe into Burisma and owner Mykola Zlochevsky be reopened earlier this year. The investigation then went forward, Solomon said. The new probe later resulted in a "Notice of Suspicion" being filed, alleging the existence of "illicit funds" running through the firm, Solomon also claimed.

I’m sad for the Trump voters. They see their cult leader slipping away,

I won’t be surprised if he takes a jet to Russia with his whole family. The usual Ukrainian getaway flight.

 Such a lovely family ....

Yes...Trumps demise is so very sad.  We are all just in complete utter disbelief at how far his popularity has fallen!

Fact check: President Trump’s Minneapolis rally speech

What he said: “So we have 20,000-plus inside. We set a new record. And we have 25,000 people we still love outside. And close to 100,000 people wanted to come tonight.”

The facts: The Target Center can hold roughly 20,000 people, matching what a fire department official said was the capacity for Thursday’s rally.

Nothing surprising with that, merely continuing the downward trend since 2012, so not a Trump phenomenon.

The president’s assertion that 25,000 people were left on the outside is dubious given that an overflow space wasn’t full and reporters on the outside of the arena saw nothing nearing that number.

Could you not hide your source when you post links? Because I prefer to not give my clicks to certain propaganda outlets.

Fox made Trump and Fox will take him down, but this particular article is still working hard on misinterpreting situation to the point where their audience is fed the exact opposite of truth.

Of course Ukraine will open and reopen investigations in companies of Burisma size. As they should.

What Trump pressured Zelensky to do is to target Biden specifically. Trump did not just courteously encourage investigating corruption in general, he asked for favours. Literally.

What your propagandists are trying to use as a proof of Biden's corruption is the fact that he - among many other world politicians - encouraged Ukrainian fight against corruption. That exact prosecutor Trump wants reappointed was fired because he was found to be corrupt by Ukrainian justice, not by some Bidens or whoever else.

How can you not notice that Trump is pressuring Ukraine into undoing their efforts against corruption with demanding such favours from them?

You want corruption in Ukraine investigated? With help of the US? Wonderful!

It's happening already, only against Trump's wishes. He fortunately doesn't know how to stop it, so these two Guiliani's business associates from Ukraine, just got arrested in the US, with one-way tickets out of your country, coincidentally right after meeting with Rudy.

Has Fox informed you about that?

Honey, that photo was taken in 2016 and has nothing to do with Trump.

It took me 5 seconds to find out.

Firefly fans said the same thing about their show. It's called cult status for a reason.

If middle America Trump supporters are now somehow "cultists", what in the heck do we call these idiotic, whack-job Democrats in the streets of Minneapolis?:

You know you're a trump voter when all you have is lame memes and gifs. No rebuttals, just sad attempts at obfuscation.

Sigh!  I wouldn’t call it lame as it is appropriate and accurate.  It is a rebuttal but it must be way over your head.  Trump voters are just frustrated at seeing such stupidity in the irrational hatred of Trump.  It’s a sad state.  The only obfuscation is labeling it obfuscation.  The Left just don’t understand that that tactic as lost traction a long time ago.

I think the former CIA Director might be in a position to know something about a pattern of self dealing.

Watergate was essentially about the same type of thing. Breaking the law to try and dig up dirt on your political enemies, and using the power of your office to do it.

A quid pro quo on behalf of the country is one thing, but using the power of your office to attempt to leverage an election? Come on ..... that’s clearly a crime and it will likely result in impeachment.

Trump is acting like a monarch, and if you don’t draw the line someplace, you don’t have a republic anymore.

The disconnect you have is your inability to discern the difference between your belief and the cold reality of provable facts

Since it's your sect that has to steal 3 year old photos of events that had nothing to do with Trump, in order to support his lies - to use just this hilarious example - what you just said is pure projection.

Think.

Why would your people steal photos of basketball events from 3 years ago and falsely claim these are Trump supporters today? Was the attendance poor, or those who create propaganda for you are actually mocking you?

But these are just people dancing in the street. Totally innocent and nothing special. To make your attempt to be scandalized with something so ordinary even worse, there's no hint anything political is going on.

Are you against dancing now too? Too much Saudi influence, huh?
