Aim it towards a metal rich system.  Not a metal poor one. Which wouldn't support life anyway.

i guess i picture like a starwars probe trying to build from scratch all its incense, bells and candles etc, might take it a while.

Yeah, they're called von Neumann Probes, named after the mathematician John von Neumann who conceived them.

We do not think that aliens or traces of aliens are there. It's just an idea. Don't take everything you read seriously.

there could be alien goodies stashed on every moon in the universe
