Sausage leaves vegan "Traumatised for life’

You know what has happened by now. Her whole fridge is filled with bacon, all corners, there is no more room for plants in there. In her kitchen cabinets she's got can after can of chili beans and spam.

That makes me think of that Married with Children episode where Peg Bundy manages to drag down a healthy fitness instructor to her state of laziness, eating bon bons and laying on the couch with her watching TV

Sausage rolls contain sausage? Now that's something you don't see every day.

It comes as a surprise to most people, I think. I don't know if I've ever seen a sausage roll (in the traditional British sense, see below) that's ever contained anything recognisable as a sausage.

Exactly.  I mean, the clue is even in the title to aid with any confusion.

Wait until she asks for a creampie though. That's when the fun will really start. w00t.gif

I don't think English cooking resembles anything recognizable as "food" or "edible". :o

Greggs do vegan sausage rolls.

This is a big mistake!!! DO NOT MAKE THEM.

Sausage rolls contain meat, why would the vegans even want anything which looks like one? I just do not get it.

With all their recipes, can they not create dishes which do not resemble burgers or sausage rolls?

Again, why do they want anything which resembles food they will not eat?

Because subconsciously they do want cheese burgers and chicken nuggets.

That looks gross.  Here a sausage roll has a sausage in it.

I can understand being upset by the mistake of being given a meat roll instead of the vegan one. I can understand why she felt physically ill once she realized it was meat instead of vegan- sometimes folks get reactions to foods, even when they aren't actually allergic to those foods. But I think traumatized for life at the age of 20 is a bit of an overstatement.

And looking at the Gregg's baked menu... dang, I really wish we had something like that around here. There's a summer vendor that does wonderful pastys, but no one does baked savory goodies like that.

and that'll be the title of the first song from Traumatised by Sausage. A contemporary reworking of the 1968 classic from the Foundations.

Not that impressed. I knew it without Google. A fave song of mine I've often changed the lyrics to to suit my mood... Suck it up works well there :)
