Trump — or What, Exactly?

I find this quote to be obvious proof that the writer of the article does not know everything about the subject.  Every one of those baby boomers paid into the social security and medicare system.  The money was supposed to be invested to insure that they had a retirement.  Until the 80's the investments were made in a way that for some reason were no longer viable and Reagan's administration aka congress during his presidency moved the money to another fund.  It should have fixed the problem but it then changed the view of where the money came from and what it's purpose was.  Since then almost every congressperson and senator has wanted to use that money.  It is our money.  We need to find a way to get it back into it's own separate fund investment and invest it properly.

The biggest problem is that people don't understand how it is supposed to work.  The baby boomers have not taxed the limits of the system, mismanagement has.  Mismanagement by our elected representatives who quit representing us almost a 100 years ago.  Teddy Roosevelt was the last effective president we had.  The rest are puppets owned by some big money.

Not a word comes from Trump’s critics about the need for Social Security or Medicare reform to ensure the long-term viability of each — other than the Democrats’ promises to extend such financially shaky programs to millions of new clients well beyond the current retiring Baby Boomer cohorts who are already taxing the limits of the system.
