They must, with Europe and others, watch over... Is this man only trolling/joking or he is serious? Threatening a country on twitter and calling himself great wise man... And what does he mean by "..I've done before" ? In point of fact, Turkey is NOT a major trade partner with the USA, nor does the USA provide particularly important products. Plus he knows from experience, if he says something outrageous, it will distract attention from whatever earlier problems he has created for himself. I must admit, I'd forgotten about that. But did the threatened US sanctions REALLY make that much difference in the release of the Pastor ? Bear in mind it wasn't just the USA in that situation, it was the European Union as well. Anyway, the two situations aren't comparable. In one, Turkey had a prisoner who they KNEW was innocent. In the other, they have a huge strip of territory to store all their Syrian refugees and - possibly - to push the Kurds away from their frontier. That is orders of magnitude more important to them.
