Floating orbs

Dan47

Recommended Posts

I keep seeing a very distinct white ball "orbs" basically float from the bottom of of mainly my right eye and just kinda float away. Doesn't happen every night but regularly usually when I'm sitting in my chair in the family room.  I've had them checked and they are healthy.  One time I asked if it was my friends dad that had just passed, nothing. Five minutes later I called out another name and within 30 seconds it came back.  I keep calling out names when I see them but it doesn't happen after I ask. I wonder if it was just a fluke the first time. It is kinda odd.

Eye floaters are tiny spots, specks, lines or shapes that enter into your field of vision, appearing to float in front of the eye. They may seem like distant objects, but they are actually the shadows of cells and fibers inside the vitreous, or gel-like portion of the eye.

Floaters are most often isolated occurrences that are a perfectly normal part of vision. However, if they become more frequent, and are accompanied by eye flashes – bursts or streaks of light similar to the “stars” you may see after taking a blow to the head – this may be a sign of an impending retinal detachment. This is very serious and should be brought to the attention of an eye care professional.

Do not believe it is paranormal and leave it.

Please read the above link if you care about your eyesight..

You need to get it properly checked out by an eye care professional.

Checked by whom? He needs to go to an eye specialist and if he has been to one in the past, he needs to go again.

It is his eyes he is talking about, if there is a problem it could continue and get worse, especially if he takes advise from you.

The orbs are either from the eye or the brain not as much as you like to fantasize paranormal, if you sway a person from medical care and they are hurt or die from it wouldn't that bother your conscience?

He has done it before where he tries to sway them from the medical side.

Dangerous and stupid.

And doing so has caused conflict with others, bad advice is always bad advice. Guess you can get away with it when you don't have to deal with the repercussions.

Apparently not. I've seen a few times where he's either supported someone's delusion (psychic ability) or recommended someone get a psychic over what could've been a serious mental issue. It is sickening.

The OP might need to see an optometrist.

Eye floaters are natural and almost everyone has some, they are only a problem if you start seeing more of them all of a sudden. Different ones will come and go over your life, but again, lots of them suddenly are bad news.

A good test you can do is to keep your head upside down for a while so they all settle at the top of your eyeball, then go stare at a blank white surface without moving your eyes. You should be able to watch them all settle to the bottom of your eye again.

He is saying he has already done his due diligence on the medical aspect. At some point it becomes reasonable to also consider other possibilities. That's what he is doing here and he wanted to discuss those 'other' possibilities with us.

Any oxygen to a paranormal possibility seems to unduly bother certain members of this forum.

Err, I would never sway a person from medical/eye exams.

I've had them checked a month ago by a my eye doctor and told him about the orbs so he paid extra attention and they are perfectly fine and no I do not have mental issues. Whom ever doesn't believe in paranormal probably are the ones with the mental illness. Just saying!!!

Eye floaters are normal and common. An eye doctor wouldn't look for them unless you had an excess. What did he say about it after you mentioned it?

Also, did you try the test I mentioned above? Here's some info on them.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/eye-floaters/symptoms-causes/syc-20372346

This is what they can look like, and differ from eye to eye, just like what you are experiencing. Not ghosts, not sickness, not mental issues, just normal eye stuff that changes as we age.

You are obviously predisposed to the paranormal and l suspect you mentioned having the all-clear from an opthamologist so that you could steer the discussion away from medical explanations. Whatever the case, orbs are not spirits, and your health is not something you should muck around with. If an opthamologist was unable to determine the cause, then l suggest you speak to your GP about whether you need a referral to a different kind of specialist (such as a neurologist, for example). Don't waste anymore of your time calling out names of deceased people. It's utter nonsense.

Good one, because why would the bother reading stuff that upsets them so much?  If you don't beleive what's the point except to pick a fight or feel smug, which both indicate mentai issues, at the very least lack of purpose and low self esteem.

Erroneous assumptions and a p*** poor diagnosis in just two sentences. Amazing.

The point by the way, is to offer alternative, practical explanations. Not everything (if anything) is paranormal, and as you've most likely read in the posts just above ours, there are potential dangers in feeding someone's beliefs and superstitions. Ultimately, it's up to the OP to determine what he wants to believe. If he wants to stay up all night calling out the names of dead people, it's fine by me.

You think the other possibilities are paranormal!

He is talking about eye floaters, not exactly uncommon and certainly NOTHING paranormal about them.

He wants to discuss paranormal because he does not have a clue about eye floaters.

Then my post wasn't aimed at you, was it?  Why did you take it personal?

It doesn't matter who your post was aimed at. You insulted non-believers and I chose to address it.

They are fine because your eye floaters are not a concern. But if they persist you should continue to have checks.

There is nothing paranormal about them.

If you choose to ignore the obvious and go down the paranormal route, you could have issues with your eyesight in future.

Take note: the only thing you need be concerned about is your eyes, not spirits.

FTR, it is not our problem what the OP chooses to do, to believe, we are not responsible for their choices. They have apparently made up their mind that it is paranormal. Time to clock out now and move on.

From where I'm standing, it's best to just voice your opinion and move on.
