Favourite B Horror Movies

Daughter of the Nine Moons

Recommended Posts

With Halloween around the corner, I'm feeling a little a little nostalgic for old school B horror.

The Brain That Wouldn't Die comes in pretty high on my list.

I loved the Hammer house of horror movies when I was a kid, every Friday night at 22:00hrs, it scared the hell out of me.

I remember a movie, The Lost Continent, I loved it...

The old ones are the best, having said that, some of the new ones scare the crap out of me lol

I remember seeing The House on Haunted Hill and was scared to death as a kid. I love these old films and the campy style that  made them so great.

THE CRAWLING HAND

And there was another about a Coelacanth that was exposed to radiation...  :w00t:

Seems like all the good ones from my childhood had something to do with exposure to radiation ;)

The Beast Within. Instead of a werewolf you turn into a cicada or were-cicada

Tales from the crypt film

Five strangers get lost in a crypt and, after meeting the mysterious Crypt Keeper, receive visions of how they will die.

. Liked the hammer,  but tales from the crypt series was better imo.

He was so ugly,  but I did like him. He was too funny to be scary.

I've been watching a lot of these old movies lately. I love October and Halloween! I love those old Vincent Price films and there's been a lot of Draculas and Frankensteins from different eras on. I just watched Cat's Eye for the first time in a while. House on Haunted Hill was just on too. Love that one!

One of my favorite Frankenstein movies is Frankenstein: The True Story from 1973.

Dark Shadows and Night Gallery. Black and white. Every episode was a butt clencher for me.

Decades TV is starting a marathon at noon of a one hour show called Ghost Story. I never heard of it before but the date showing on the first episode is 2019. I know what I'm watching this afternoon. :P  The original The Blob is on right now too.

I seem to vaguely remember having seen this first episode before.

Now I know I've seen this series before. They just started an episode called The Summer House, and I know I've seen this one.

@susieiceSteve McQueen and the blob is one of my favorites. This is not a horror film but the Birds was very good also...

The Birds is one of my forever favorites. Hitchcock was a master at psychological thrillers. I think the death scenes would probably classify it as horror, just like Psycho. Tonight Night of the Living Dead (a classic) and it's 1990 remake are on. After that is Carriers, which I already watched this week.
