UK General Election -

I don't think we should get complacent. We are not out of the woods yet.

There is still a fanatical cult reffered to as the Corbynistas who have no respect for democracy.

Although initially they admitted defeat they have had time to regroup. Corbyn like some kind of Dictator is staying put only offering to not fight another election. His cult members refuse to believe it was him or his policies that caused the defeat but solely the press.

Other ludicrous comments are coming out such as only 45% of people voted Tory so 55% voted still to remain. To assume that everyone who voted non Tory was a remainer and vice versa shows how deluded they are.

Momentum are already on the streets of London denying democracy and Gina Miller is plotting her next move.

Corbyn will either find away to stay on or stay until a clone of him is found.

The future is brighter but democracy has taken a real tanking in this country after MPs defied the referendum.

Once again, I've never claimed to be a socialist, or even left wing. Just more left than you.

I am a patriot. I put what I believe best for my country above what I believe is best for me. But since 43% of the country doesn't want that, there's nothing more I can do for my country for the next 5 years.

So it's 5 years of putting my own interests above people like you.

If you`re a patriot then I`m the Pope.

At least I'm not trying to pretend I got what I want out of a childish desperation to be on the winning side.

The only people who won on Thursday are those who wanted to leave with a deal.

Its just sad to see the likes of @RabidMongoose @bee and @stevewinn pretending they wanted this.

I do hope it's one of their homes I end up buying. It would be a nice twist ending.

So now everybody pro-Brexit is childish? So now we only voted Tory to be on the winning side?

Why stop there, I`m sure you could blame the Russians as well if you wanted.

see my quote above ............... and you won't be getting your hands on my home because
it's a council bungalow protected from being sold off....

For now.

I didn't realize you were a rich property magnate..... :o.....

Oh, I'm not. But the easiest way for me to get on the housing ladder in London is to watch the prices crash then snap things up.

No, anyone who pretends they wanted Boris deal when, literally less than a week ago, you were entertaining some fantasy that he will drop it and go for no deal, is childish.

You aren't getting what you want anymore than I am. But you're so desperate to claim a win you'll pretend you want Boris's deal.

patriot, yes, but which EU country.

To your mind, what is a patriot?

Who did you vote for or will you dodge the question.

I voted Lib Dem. As you know, I supported a second referendum on the EU but Labour had no chance of getting in here. Got our resident Tory out though.

Yes sure, next you'll be saying your dad is bigger than everyone else's dad.

Seems I touched a nerve.

I think you and others like you are really worried that Britain will actually prosper outside of the EU.

Feel absolutely free to prove me wrong. But I don't expect it and am planning for your failure.

Just remember, whatever happens in the next 5 years, not just around EU membership, is on you.

Good and bad.

Eh? We have won.

The only difference between a Hard-Brexit and the Boris Deal is what it means to Northern Ireland trading with the UK and ROI. We dont want NI growing closer to the ROI, but at the end of the day we can tolerate the agreement until a free trade agreement is thrashed out. Why? Because we get to leave the EU! I am happy with the Boris Deal, it is acceptable, I can go for that. Hence the reason why I voted for it.

We won, you lost, time for you to man up. No one likes a bad loser.

Lib/Dem's policy was to revoke article 50 and you're claiming those who voted Conservative are stupid.

You've spent 3 years saying any deal isn't Brexit.

Right up till the election, you were saying you wanted Boris to abandon his deal.

Now suddenly your in support. Doesn't take much to see what changed.

From what I've read, better then a Johnson win, is the Corbyn loss. Good riddance to Comrade Corbyn.

Lib Dem, supported revoking article 50, totally ignoring the will of the people. democracy deniers. how apt.

touched a nerve, why and how? your just making yourself look real foolish, just a bit childish from yourself, your going to buy my house, yeah of course you are, lets hope you do better at buying property than you do at predicting political victories.

listen, your on a losing streak and want to make it look like your winning to strangers on the internet. apparently with each loss you suffer you're becoming richer and your going to buy a number of forum members homes. question is why are you backing the losing side if the winning side allows you to become richer and becoming the next Richard Branson.

A pretty sentiment, but to me, patriotism is about actions more than sentiment.

So what should a patriot do?

Because I am a patriot. I put what I believe is best for my country over what benefits me personally.

THAT is patriotism. Not empty words and sentiment.

And why would a patriot vote for Brexit?

In general terms:

What actions define a patriot?

You claim to be a patriot but your actions show otherwise.

You say you believe in doing what is best for your country, but your preferred course of action would be to give our country away to a European Super-state. Shame on you!

You dip your toe into the subversion of our peoples democracy by supporting parties that have frustrated Brexit and who want to actively deny the majority of the public what they voted for. Shame on you!

Shame on you!

There's the rub, arrogance isn't patriotism, the country can't function without looser's consent which as what's been absent for more than 3 years, we've voted to get the country back on track, changes need to be made where a few elite can never bring the country to it's knees ever again.
