Blade Runner, The Running Man, Akira…three of the most prominent films concerning a dystopian society, all set in the year 2019. Akira accurately predicted a 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Running Man predicted deepfakes. Blade Runner predicted sex robots. Mull over all that.
