No, he’s defending a man found guilty under the law, of being a paedophile.

Like Lindy Chamberlain was convicted and sent to prison for murdering her baby, then later released, because of new evidence and a....holes burying it.

She was innocent all the way through, and yes the media labelled her as a baby killer, then looked like f...wits later on when evidence, was shown of a coverup, and that a dingo was responsible.

Two judges out of three, throwing Pel in prison because they were too stupid or senile to look at the evidence and realize what a crock it all was. Evidence is what they should have looked at, not Plausible Deniability, which is translated as, (witch-hunt and a holiday to the Caribbean, and a freshly dug hole in their back yards).

Strange thing was that many or most people thought her guilty, and seemingly because they thought a dingo would not do such a thing. Pretty naïve.

Canberra has two main public hospitals. This is the one on my side of town. Everyone in the family has had at least one visit to the emergency department, I've had a couple of operations there, and one of my kids spent a month in the neonatal intensive care unit.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-05-25/canberra-hospitals-wards-filled-with-toxic-smoke-this-summer/12279384?nw=0

Almost every facility at the Canberra Hospital was affected by unhealthy levels of smoke during the last summer's bushfires, internal documents have revealed.

Though its eyes are now firmly trained on a different crisis, six months ago Canberra Health Services was scrambling to respond as machinery failed, sterilised equipment was contaminated and staff suffered from the choking bushfire smoke filling the capital.

Documents released under Freedom of Information laws show the air quality on hospital wards, including at the neonatal intensive care unit, the emergency ward and the respiratory and sleep disorders ward were at levels "unhealthy for all" in the days after New Year.

New South Wales Government Bushfire Inquiry - Final Report

At 466 pages it's a bit on the long side for light reading, but the Executive Summary on pages 4-6 is a good place to start.

Page 54 lists statistics on 32 significant fires representing about 80% of the land burned in the state. Of the 32 fires, lightning was found to be responsible for 24 of them, and arson for none of them.

Page 99 lists the number of suspected and confirmed Pyrocumulonimbus events in south-east Australia since the 1970s: no more than a few a year up to 2001, 10-20 confirmed events a year in the noughties, 20-30 confirmed events a year 2010-2018, and 60 last summer. In no year were there fewer events than in any previous year - in other words the number has either stayed level or increased every year since the 1970s.
