I've noticed the traffic signs up this way warning of poor air quality in the last couple of days up here in QLD over the last couple days instead of destination times. Obviously nothing like NSW though.

ScuMo has spoken against getting more boots on the ground to fight the fires because the current fire fighters “want to be there, and would be there no matter what”. You’re a ****wit Scott.

It is either CCC that keep associating smoke or heat with their religion or others that realize if most of our fires are caused by humans lighting s....t, then it is that!

Once climate change is considered to be real, and all opposition showing considerable evidence to the contrary has been suppressed, then a closed group carrying that distinction is established. Orson Wells, would be proud.

Yes, the cult is getting desperate, so the fight against nothing is scaling up. I bet Micky Mouse will have more protest marches in Disneyland for starters.

Hysterical nutters nothing more!

Or which is better seeing with your own eyes that sea levels are not rising, (compare any old image with present day and it will Never show a substantial rise or any rise for that matter) or going to a junk science site, and believing in what they say?

A junk site has "scientists say" but never shows them, and makes predictions that never happen, (the UN has 50 years of that, with a cycle of doomsters every ten years saying the same thing, and no tipping point or end of the world at the end of each decade)

But some have to believe in this flat earth climate scare, no matter what, or l personally cannot relate to those types.

I used to live on a farm and due to a drought, we had a lot of red dust blanket our area, about 40 years ago now, so the landscape looked like a nuclear war just happened, no activists back then crapping on, although l bet a few activists lit a lot of the Sydney fires, to add some more hand waving to their cause, more is the pity.

These types need to stop following the herd, stand back and really think about it, or better still do some real research, then dump it.

Exactly, the man was a sexist, borderline racist dinosaur who longed for the 50s BUT he was never the sort of person who’d ignore the people on the front line.

But relying on and defending was the major problem for the rest of the coalition and the cause of his downfall.

To be fair I don't really know what the Commonwealth Government (Morrison) can do about the firefighters.  They're state entities.

On the other hand, according to Bill, we wouldn't have this problem if we just listened to him.

Quote

“The Bushfires Would Not Be Happening If I Was Elected Prime Minister,”

“This is what Australia voted for at the May election,” says Bill Shorten. “They voted for Scott Morrison. They voted for bushfires.”
...
The stunning claims were made by Mr Shorten as he addressed a union meeting in Sydney today. [11 December]
...

Bill Shorten claims his climate change policies as Labor leader would have kept Australia bushfire free.

“Under Labor’s 45% carbon emissions reduction target, temperatures would be significantly lower than they are now,” says Shorten.

“The Coalition’s 26% target has quite literally left us high and dry.”

Victim blaming?

That is why we didn't vote for him!

No bushfires, geesh, what frickin kindergarden or safe injecting house did Bill come from?

So if l went into the bush in a hot day, with bone dry leaves and such and lit a match, then Bill would magically appear and blow it out.

I would say men in white suits need to take him away, this remark has put the Greens bleating to shame or anyone else.

Of course! That's the same way he was going to fund Labor policies.

Funny thing about these loons, is when they attack each other, or someone who is stupid tells someone else who is crazy that they are crazy. Or a bit like a punchup in a mental asylum, over which of the three are Jesus?

The federal government could always “allocate funding” via a bill called “supporting fire management practices” to the states. Say a couple of million for the states actually on fire, a bit less for those not on fire yet. Leave it up to the states how it’s spent, but it’s doing something beyond thinking and praying and p***ing off to Haiwaii.

He’s not the total nutter leader, just one of the rank and file nutters.

I think he's already committed $11 million.

The former fire chiefs want a "Bushfire Summit". They're disappointed ScoMo's not going to be there; but, are proceeding without him.  The top agenda item is climate change.

There's already a natural transition to renewable energy underway.

To buy one extra water bomber, which is obviously not enough.

Is it still more than your suggestion of "a couple of million for the states actually on fire, a bit less for those not on fire yet."

This epidemic is way beyond aerial water bombing, which is only effective in protecting homes, not the overall landscape. The best investment would be in more jails to house firebugs for long stretches.
