Dad dies after daughter murdered by cop

"The father of a black woman fatally shot by a white police officer inside her Fort Worth, Texas, home has died.

"A spokesman for Marquis Jefferson, Bruce Carter, told the Dallas Morning News that the father of Atatiana Jefferson suffered a heart attack and died Saturday night at a Dallas hospital. Carter told KDFW that Jefferson “just couldn’t get back from what happened with his daughter”.

"The 28-year-old Jefferson was killed last month after Fort Worth police went to her home for a welfare check. An officer, Aaron Dean, was charged with murder after resigning from the force."

So sad. Freud hypothesised that grief had a limited impact on human beings before losing his own daughter. After which he had to admit that grief could be literally devastating. This poor family must be heartbroken

My great grandfather was quite healthy and approaching 90 when my grandmother died, he died shortly after. In his life he had lost a wife twice and I think loosing his daughter was one too many. So yes I believe it's possible.

I think maybe high blood pressure from stress.

And you never know, he might have been drinking excessively following her death too.

There is actually a medical condition known as broken heart syndrome, more common in woman than men, and caused by stress. It is not always fatal but can lead to heart failure. It is most likely something along those lines. you see it happen a lot with older couples who lose a spouse.

I'm sure it does but only the stories with right "optics" are plastered across the tabloids.

It's 2:30 AM and Police arrive at a house in an "African American" area of town. The front door of the house is wide open. The Officer was very wrong to issue a warning once then fire rounds through the window. Was Atatiana Jefferson holding something that was mistaken for a gun?

Sounds like the Officer rolled up to the house and immediately thought it was a burglary in progress. Just a sad situation all around..

DG, did you ever see the footage?  Forget how it's being reported here.  That cop walked up to someones window, saw a person inside and killed them because that person forgot to close the back door.  Didn't give them a chance to comply with any order he gave, just shot without real cause. Now that dead person's father died from the stress and from grief. 

So what are you trying to say?  That the media outlet mentioning the races of the parties is trying to start a race war? That if it had been a white girl killed and her father died we would not have heard of it?  You are possible right but we will never know.  There is this story to indicate you may be completely wrong though the shooting of Justine Damond  Do you think that there is any chance that the cop may have acted differently if he that had been in a white neighborhood?  I'm thinking he very well may have.
