IG Horowitz completed report has been pushed back until a projected date of around November 20th. For those of you who have been following the investigation here are two related articles and the Press Release by the DOJ and IG Horowitz on his investigation of Fired FBI Director James Comey. I'm looking forward to reading his findings.

After Thanksgiving?: A new release window for report on alleged FISA abuses emerges

Justice Department officials expect the inspector general's report on alleged abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act against the Trump campaign to be released in the latter half of November. DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced the completion of his year-and-a-half investigation on Sept. 13, providing a draft copy of the report to the Justice Department and FBI for a classification review. One DOJ official told the Washington Post they aim to have the report released by Nov. 20, but another said after Thanksgiving was more likely due to what was described as a "complicated and contentious mix of legal, classification and political issues at play."

DOJ Could Release Conclusions On FBI Spying On Trump Campaign Before Thanksgiving

A potentially damning report from the Justice Department on why the Federal Bureau of Investigation decided to investigate President Donald Trump’s election campaign could be released before Thanksgiving. DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been working on the document for months that seeks answers on why the FBI sought to spy on the Trump campaign and why it was suspicious that Trump officials were colluding with Russia. The conclusions could be released by Nov. 20 according to sources who spoke to the Washington Post in an article published Tuesday.

DOJ OIG Releases Report of Investigation of Former FBI Director James Comey’s Disclosure of Sensitive Investigative Information and Handling of Certain Memoranda

Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz announced today the release of a report examining former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James B. Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain memoranda memorializing seven one-on-one interactions that he had with President-elect and President Donald J. Trump between January 6, 2017, and April 11, 2017. The DOJ Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated this investigation, following a referral from the FBI, after the FBI determined that Comey may have shared memos that contained classified information with individuals outside the FBI.

Interesting. Looking forward to the release. Nice to see an investigation conducted without leaking every other day. Hopefully we'll get some answers this time.

The absence of leaks is the only positive indicator I've seen.  The fact that this is perpetually being delayed makes me think it will be a snow job and there will be no consequences for the criminality.  I hope they think long and hard before they try to sweep THIS under a rug.  They've been straining credibility for awhile now and this one isn't going unanswered.  And for the faint of heart Libbies here, NO, I am not speaking of violence.

More on the story:

IG's report on alleged FISA abuse taking time likely because of potential 'broadened' scope, lawmaker claims

As the public awaits Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on alleged FISA abuse ahead of the 2016 election, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., theorized that the delay could be due to a broadening investigation. In a Monday interview on "Hannity," he also projected several top government figures may be found "culpable" by the report. I'm concerned for people like [FBI's Andrew] McCabe, [Ex-FBI head James] Comey, even Rod Rosenstein... Sally Yates -- anybody who signed off on one of those FISA warrant applications," he said. "I believe they're culpable in some way."

Horowitz Report Will Be Damning. Criminal Referrals Likely.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s much anticipated report on his investigation into the FBI’s probe into President Trump’s campaign is expected to be made public before Thanksgiving and the outcome is alleged to contain several criminal referrals, according to sources who spoke with SaraACarter.com. Horowitz’s investigation on the bureau’s probe into the now debunked theory that Trump colluded with Russia in the 2016 presidential election will more than likely result in the declassification of documents — requested by senior Republican lawmakers for more than several years.

Barr: Inspector general's report on alleged FISA abuses 'imminent'

The report on an internal watchdog probe into whether the FBI followed the law and its own policies while applying for a warrant to surveil a former Trump campaign aide during the 2016 election is "imminent," Attorney General William Barr said Wednesday. Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec confirmed to The Hill that Barr had been asked about Inspector General Michael Horowitz's probe into the warrant to surveil former Trump campaign aide Carter Page during a press conference in Memphis, Tenn.

More on the story as a hearing date has been set.

Lindsey Graham sets date for FISA abuse hearing with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz is set to testify about his investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses next month. After what appeared to be multiple delays, the announcement of the Dec. 11 hearing is a clear sign the report on FBI intelligence-gathering activities related to the 2016 presidential election is slated to be released to the public in the coming weeks. "I appreciate all the hard work by Mr. Horowitz and his team regarding the Carter Page FISA warrant application and the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign," Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham said on Monday.

Bill Barr’s Witch Hunt

Attorney General Bill Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham are traveling around the world trying to get foreign governments to give credence to a conspiracy theory that they believe will undermine the FBI’s decision to open an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. This effort is an abuse of power, purely designed to help President Donald Trump politically. The fact is, it would have been malpractice if the FBI had not opened its investigation in the summer of 2016.

More on the story. Some very interesting information starting to come out of IG Horowitz pending report imo.

DOJ inspector general finds 'numerous issues' with FBI management of secret sources

A newly released assessment from the Justice Department watchdog found "numerous issues" related to the FBI's validation processes for secret sources. The audit, published Tuesday by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, comes amid intense scrutiny of the Justice Department's and FBI's actions during the 2016 election. "Ineffective management and oversight of confidential sources can result in jeopardizing FBI operations and placing FBI agents, sources, subjects of investigation, and the public in harm's way," Horowitz said in a two-minute video.

FBI Mismanaged Its Use of Informants: IG Horowitz Report

The FBI’s use of informants has multiple problems, according to a report by the Justice Department’s Inspector General (IG) released on Nov. 19. Some of the major issues highlighted by the IG, Michael Horowitz, are delays in properly vetting the informants and a lack of record-keeping when there are problems with them. “The FBI’s vetting processes for confidential sources, known as validation, did not comply with the Attorney General Guidelines, particularly with regard to long-term sources,” said Horowitz in a video accompanying the release of the report.

A little back story for those of you who may have not been following along on IG Horowitz pending Report and the criminal investigation into to Fired FBI Director Jame Comey.

Justice Dept. IG referred James Comey for criminal prosecution

Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz said Wednesday that he referred former FBI Director James B. Comey for criminal prosecution this year after concluding he leaked sensitive materials to a friend. And the Justice Department watchdog told Congress he would “assess” Republican allegations of inconsistent statements in Mr. Comey’s testimony before the Senate. Mr. Horowitz’s disclosure that he made the criminal referral marks his first public statement about the criticism lodged against Mr. Comey in a report released last summer. He told lawmakers it is standard practice to make a criminal referral when wrongdoing is suspected.

More on the ever growing story that all began during the 2016 election cycle. Please note that this article initially appeared in the Wall Street Journal that has a paywall and I posted the NY Post article instead those of you who don't subscribe to the WSJ.

FBI wants to interview whistleblower in Trump impeachment effort

The FBI is reportedly looking to interview the whistleblower whose complaint about President Trump’s Ukraine call sparked the ongoing House impeachment proceedings. The federal agency has twice reached out to the whistleblower’s legal team requesting their cooperation in a probe that appears to be in its infancy stages — but which the whistleblower doesn’t appear to be the target of, people familiar with the situation told The Wall Street Journal. It’s unclear exactly why the feds want to talk to the whistleblower, and the agency didn’t respond to a request for comment from the paper.

More reports are coming out as the Horowitz and Durham investigations move toward a conclusion.

FBI lawyer allegedly altered document related to surveillance of Trump campaign adviser

A former FBI lawyer allegedly altered a document related to surveillance of Trump campaign adviser Carter Page during the 2016 election, a report said Thursday. The evidence of the altered document was turned over to federal prosecutor John Durham, who is investigating how intelligence was gathered by agencies including the CIA and FBI during the probe into the Trump campaign, CNN reported. It’s not clear what role the altered document played in the investigation into Page — or if a FISA warrant against him would have been ok’d without the fudged document, according to the report.

Former FBI lawyer under investigation after allegedly altering document in 2016 Russia probe

A former FBI lawyer is under criminal investigation after allegedly altering a document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser, several people briefed on the matter told CNN. The possibility of a substantive change to an investigative document is likely to fuel accusations from President Donald Trump and his allies that the FBI committed wrongdoing in its investigation of connections between Russian election meddling and the Trump campaign.
