Today is an historic day.

Today Donald J. Trump became only the fourth U.S. President in history to have articles of impeachment drawn against him.

Didn't Nixon resign before they actually took the vote to impeach?  Wouldn't that make Trump the third President to be impeached?

I will support Israel, as long as they don't bomb our ships and kill the people who man them.  And as long as they stay out of Palestine.

For me Doug, whatever happens between Israel and Palestinians,  is their business so long as no American Soldiers are involved, or like you said our Navy isn't attacked. I think we kinda see eye to eye on this.

However with Presidents Trumps support of Christian Zionism, and the policies he is making for it in that part of the World. I am unsure if something won't happen where he causes a war with Iran do to his Christian Zionist influence.

Thanks for your response.

Pelosi looked beaten down...she knows this is not good for her party. It's sad...this is not the Democrat party I grew up with. There were certain things I liked and respected about them....I no longer see any of those things.

My father remained a staunch Republican all his life. I grew up in his house, a Republican.  I can say the same thing.  Neither party is what it was when we were young.  Politeness and bipartisanship are things of the past.  It would be nice to bring them back.  I think it would take a good Congressional Housecleaning to do that.

I think it would also take finding the Pride in our Nation that once existed. We don't need wind bag politicians who tell people what they want to hear, we need hero's that tell us how it really is and then fix what's broken. That's the difference between today and years back, back then our politicians were men who meant just what they said, however those days are gone.

I think Tricky Dicky resigned before they voted to remove him from office.

Yes he certainly did, he was smart enough to know when the gig was up. Now President Trump on the other hand, has no clue, I just don't think he is smart enough to see the trees in the forest.

I agree.  I wonder just how stable Trump is.

Ukrainians: Trump Just Sent Us ‘a Terrible Signal’

Quote

Ukrainian officials spent last weekend glued to Trump’s Twitter feed.

People working closely with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have been in contact with Trump administration officials over the past several weeks discussing the relationship between the two presidents, according to four people with knowledge of the talks. Based on those conversations, Ukrainian officials came to expect that President Donald Trump would make a statement of support before Zelensky met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in France for peace talks. A statement might even come via Twitter, they said they were told.

“Through all the signals we got, we firmly believed there would be a statement,” a senior Zelensky administration official told The Daily Beast.

But as Saturday and Sunday ticked by, there was only silence from the White House. Even as Ukrainian officials have publicly been loath to criticize Trump’s pressure campaign on their country, frustrations with Washington have quietly percolated. And last weekend, they were especially acute.

and then

Just a small update on the back and forth about Hunter Biden's role in this farce:

If he ultimately cooperates for the Jan. 7 hearing, Biden will likely discuss his financial records while under oath, including those related to his involvement in Ukrainian company Burisma Holdings, according to the Daily Mail.
