Or they inherited it ! ;)

lol,  there are plenty of those who inherited, won a lotto, and ended up poor soon after, or in even more debt, so it does take a special  quality to  know how to make, keep and multiply.  some have what it takes, and become millionaires from 0, some do not , and no matter what they do, and they stay poor and blame the rich, like i see it regularly done here

Or you can keep your money by not paying what you owe or declare bancrupcy so that the general folk is forced to pay your debt, like true socialism - all for one, one for himself.

I met R. Sellner Reese about 9 years ago and found her story one of the most compelling and unusual ever; she lived under two murderous socialist governments: Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin. “I was born under Hitler, grew up under Stalin and worked under communist dictators Walter Ulbricht and Erich Honnecker in East Germany,” she told me.

Darwin’s Origin was seminal in Stalin’s own march toward a godless communism Yaroslavsky writes about the influence Darwin had on young Joseph Stalin

As history separates us from Darwin’s death, the media is more willing to expose the harm of his ideas. This, plus the release of once-sealed records have revealed a great deal about the atrocities of recent history. This is the case of the horrors of Mao Zedong in Communist China.[1] That Darwin was a major influence in communist China should not surprise us. Darwin not only supported the survival-of-the-fittest ideology, but even

How to avoid totalitarianism. Adhere to the U.S. Constitution! The highest elected official in America is actually the County Sheriff. Citizens hand book.

A drastic situation exists where  a dozen people have wealth equivalent to that of half of the American population, I would say. It may be a case of "In God We Trust" printed on the money, but it appears biblical stories about the unwisdom of having people " store up for yourselves treasures upon the earth " have been by-passed.

yea, so? there is plenty of money for anyone who has what it takes to make it.   half of american population doesn't have that,  so how is it a fault of those who do have it???

btw your statement implies that the other have is financially good, and make enough and then some,  i do not see where that drastic situation is,

I think any reasonable person can see that inequities in the system has seen a migration of wealth toward the 1%, that has been going on for decades in the USA, and probably the last decade in Australia. Especially since the GFC, which was an exercise in welfare for corporate failures.

Thanks for the thread and the links ellapenella and one could certainly argue that socialism has been a failure in many ways but is still favored by many who would prefer that government make the important decisions like healthcare.

I don't know how anyone in the world could ever want to force this on anyone.. the ones wanting it seem to be trying to force it in waves of what we are seeing . They hate everything good and they constantly attack people verbally and physically to force this on us.

Capitalism also  can be Dawinist?  We tout personal responsibility and the notion that it is only merit that gets people ahead in our system. Poor people are poor because they are inferior, if they can't hack it, they can starve. Rich people are rich because they deserve to be.

There will always be poor people in the world . There will always be rich people in the world. But the ideology of socialism is harmful and dangerous because history proves so.

When an environment is slow to change then survival of the fittest applies. But if an environment is dynamic then its survival of the most adaptable. If an organism is neither fit or adaptable but social, then the help of its society enables them to pass on their genes.

For one country to come to dominate the world then eugenics and selective breeding would allow them to emerge as the best over time. Thats what Hitler tried. He took the first steps in engineering the German people as the master race.

As a result eugenics and selective breeding are currently looked down upon. I suspect that will change when we discover aliens because if we dont give all humans an IQ of 500 we will quickly get conquered.

What we see going on is  TRANSFORMATION & DECEPTION ... most Nations in the world are all able help the most needy in the world but if I were to think in terms of survival of the fittest I would have to think in terms of why so many want to weaken AMERICA ....it's not really about survival it's more about something else...

Yeah it's about world domination... that's what this seems to be about...look around the world who is opposing who and why ..what's the end game?

I think that anyone with a heart & Soul will always look down on that...

No aliens only the fallen ones ...

So, what's your point? Are you suggesting that because of  corruption we have to transform into something even more corruptible and more evil?

What relevance does this have to do with my reply to the comment that Darwin`s Theory of Evolution was taken onboard by some of the 20th Centuries most destructive dictators?

All countries are in competition with each other. Sometimes one pulls ahead for a few centuries before imploding. Sometimes groups of countries work together to bring down a stronger adversary while its in their interests to do so. Sometimes a country drifts towards the bottom of the pact before disappearing altogether. As the passage of time occurs they all have to choose the correct strategy for their position. Sometimes they need a focus on being the fittest, sometimes on being the most adaptable, sometimes on working with others, and no doubt a variety of other strategies.

At the moment the USA isn't the fittest or the most adaptable. It maintains its dominance through alliances and because the large number of alliances it has are with smaller nations that cannot mount a challenge to it. But, if the EU becomes a nation that may change. The member states might work collectively to remove the USA from the dominant position and establish themselves there. And the EU is neither fit or adaptable either. WW2 Germany on the other hand was small, fairly isolated, but very powerful because it was fit. So fit it nearly beat a whole block of unfit and unadaptable nations working together to stop it.

Sorry for my English, German is my mother tongue.

Things always change.

Environments are not static and when we force them to be static they undergo entropy and die. Alliances instead of genuine adaptability or being fit are an attempt to avoid altering ones position in relation to the environment.

so? that inequality based on your own ability and qualities, that is what reasonable people see,  you are not entitled to anyone's fruits of labors aka money, make your own, planety of people do just that.

Quote

US added 700,000 new millionaires in 2017. Millionaire households in the U.S. jumped by more than 700,000 last year, according to a new report from Spectrem Group. The U.S. now has a record of more than 11 million millionaire households. Surging stock prices and housing values have helped the growt

so we have 11 million millionaire households, in usa and about 700k adds yearly,  that tells me if you really want and work on it, you can make it,   anything else is empty pocket lyrics  of the lazy. , as my mother in law says.

btw that is only as far as millionaires go, there is much much more those who are not, but still well off,   like i said there is plenty of money around, for anyone who can get it,   i could post pages on people who build businesses and considerable wealth from 0,  but i  wont.  do you know what they all have in common??? they do not complain, moan, and blame 1%, they get things done. and see 1% as inspiration.

Not really, things are more repetitive. There's a pattern in life. The problem is.. is that some people don't recognize it..

I suppose that some alliances were formed to protect sovereignty from  misanthropy.. . Misanthropist build alliances also.

President Trump is correct in stating  that there is  " No Freedom Of The Press In America "any longer.& how people are being taught how to not think.
