Video authoring software

Hi is there anyone out there who could help me with finding a good program not too expensive for video authoring since I am digitalizing all my old music VHS tapes. At the time I am using DVD styler which is very limited and unfortunately you cant make your own buttons in that program.

I think OBS Studio can do this. It's open-source and quite a lot of streamers use it.
