This is the second announced possible crisis in astronomy this year alone.
We're heading for a very interesting decade, where the standard model could become rewritten!

Scientists have discovered a black hole in our own galaxy that could rewrite the book on stellar evolution.

It possible that this Black Hole could have been caused by the collision of a number Black Holes. When Black Holes Collide they create a larger Black Hole. While it will not be the exact size equal to the mass of the two colliding Black Holes due to a loss of energy and mass during the collision it will be at least 75% larger than before. The number of Black Holes that have been seen to collide to date is three, but this doesn't mean a larger number couldn't collide.

Hopefully Captain Holland and his crew avoid this one. "In, through, and beyond!"
