Girl, 9, gives police thank you note & candy

Recommended Posts

Still Waters

A nine-year-old girl has been handing out chocolates and letters to police officers to say thank you for their hard work.

Police in Chorley and Preston, both in Lancashire, posted pictures of the handwritten notes on Twitter.

Football officer Paul Elliott, who was on duty during Chorley's match against Dagenham & Redbridge this weekend, was handed an envelope enclosing a letter written in purple felt tip pen.

Whenever I encounter a police officer in a situation where a spoken word is possible between us...I always thank them for their service!  Good to see young people appreciate them as well.
