Measles outbreak has Samoa in "lock-down"

"Two hundred thousand South Pacific islanders face an unprecedented two day national quarantine as the government of Samoa struggles to arrest a catastrophic measles epidemic which has now claimed 60 lives.

"From 6am today, all public and private services, offices, and businesses, will be closed during two twelve-hour, daytime curfews, while road travel will be prohibited to all except emergency, medical-related, or essential utility traffic."

There was a secret screening of Vaxxed II: The People's Truth. The Queensland Health Minister and The AMA (Qld) called for this film to be banned. 

It's a good thing the Antidefamation Commission is protected from a guy that says reptillians run the world.  That's much more important than lives and research dollars.

Vaccination rates - meaning the number of young children covered - recently dropped to a low of only 31% in Samoa, compared to 99% in nearby Nauru, Niue, and Cook Islands.

In part, that low rate has been attributed to the deaths of two children.

In July 2018, two infants died in Samoa after receiving vaccinations against measles, mumps and rubella, raising local fears over the vaccine itself.

But the deaths were later established to have been due to the nurses mixing the vaccine with an expired muscle relaxant, instead of water.

The two nurses pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced to five years in prison.

Yeah, I saw a news report on this and Samoan after Samoan complaining about how the government didn't do anything to keep them vaccinated after an anti-vax show came on and people stopped getting them. They dropped from being in the 90 percentile vaxxed to the 30s and we see the results.

I wanted to ask them when government was supposed to do your thinking for you?

That is as scary as these breakouts are, IMO.
