DieChecker Posted December 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2019 That's very interesting. I'd not thought there would be a dusty layer around the Sun. 1 Top

The fact that it is hotter outside has in the past made me speculate that the form is more dynamic than just a fireball. It's a shame we can't peer deeper i bet there is a lot more layers even! But why not dust? Fire leaves ash. 1 Top

That it is "more dynamic" than a fireball has been known since it was first discovered that it isn't a "fireball". That was with the discovery of nuclear fusion in the 1930s. 1 hour ago, Nnicolette said: But why not dust? Fire leaves ash. Because it ISN'T a fire. It is a nuclear furnace. The reaction that converts hydrogen into helium is not a chemical fire, it leaves no dust. 1 Top

Because fusion of hydrogen to helium has nothing to do with the process of conversion of flammable substances. NASA does give straight answers, but they require that you listen and try to understand, instead of just crying conspiracy.
