How will Impeachment play out?

Trump is the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.  It is his job to root out corruption.  Biden is not above the law.

No doubt you have an explanation, but this seem inconsistent.

Biden you say is corrupt because he withheld aid until the Ukrainians fired a prosecutor, and YOU say he did it to protect his son.

The rest of the world  says he did it because the prosecutor was corrupt and not investigating corruption.

Biden was acting as the Deputy Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the United States.  He was acting with approval of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States, the International Monetary Fund and the EU who were both also giving tons of money to Ukraine.  Can you produce a witness  who heard Biden say he was only doing it to protect his son?  You want to believe his guilt, bu you have no proof.

Trump on the other hand you say is not corrupt  though he withheld aid because YOU say he was wanting Ukraine to investigate corruption.  You have no proof of that either.

To the rest of the world, it seems like he was withholding aid to get a political favor.

You like Trump and you don't like Biden so you leave laws and the burden of proof behind and espouse favoritism.  That is the danger to the rule of law and our democracy.

I'm not one to change the names as people do, but yesterday my son and I were joking they should change their names to Dramacrats.  :D

Saw this and thought Tucker Carlson would agree with you and your son.... about the Dramacrats..

0:46.....

"...Democrats seemed dramatically insincere when they began this process some weeks ago,
and by yesterday they were every bit as fraudulent..."

(then there are clips of Democrats saying how sad they are about it all..... poor babies....
boo hoo.... they had 'no choice'......:(........)

You do mean except for the part where Donald John Trump will forever be remembered as the third US President ever to be impeached right?

That , uh, didnt fall flat. No matter what else happens for all time when people say his name the word impeached will closely follow.

Unless someone pulls their finger out sharpish, DJT might be the first President to be Unimpeached.

Didn’t someone here say that if they don’t punt the impeachment up to the Senate soon El Trumpo will be able to get the SC to annul the vote?

The Democrat premise is that because they are right about everything then no one of sound mind could possibly have voted Republican. Therefore they must have been manipulated by Trump or the Russians.

Its self-delusion and self-delusion doesnt work on the people who voted for Trump. What is going on with left-wing parties around the world? It seems like they have all gone delusional.

I have no hard and fast political affinities or tribal loyalties....

but on observation of it all I have to say that the 'left' (and I have friends on the left)......... are being
'played like a fiddle' - and are being sent crazy by the clever psychological operation being
rolled out 24/7 - world wide.... they are being targeted and don't even realize...

Basically democrats refuse to give to senate and Supreme Court can annual the impeachment because it was a partisan action aka politics. Nancy Pelosi would do much better if she sent it to the senate instead of holding it back, holding it backs makes them look even worse.

I think it's true to say that the Democrats have put themselves between a rock and a hard place...

if they don't hand the Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate the whole thing will be annulled -
but if they do there could be a very damaging 'trial' .... damaging for them....

(think I've got that right...)

I think someone (might have been RavenHawk) .... explained that Impeachment is a PROCESS
and not just a vote in the House.. and if the process isn't completed.....................

Here's what I found. It has to go to the Senate though the Constitution doesn't really state how soon. It is a process.

Theres ALOT of disinformation out there.

From the link Susiece put up

Quote

The Constitution doesn’t say how fast the articles must go to the Senate. Some modest delay is not inconsistent with the Constitution, or how both chambers usually work.

In all honestly I think since congress is in recess there isnt even technically a delay beyond one day at this point and wont be until January 7th.

It's almost like how a Supreme Court Judge seat being filled doesn't have a timeline for when. The irony.

I guess I don't.  Did you write it on a laptop while sitting in a bierhalle in Munich?   Are you going to suggest Trump followers burn down Congress next?  That worked in the past.  Maybe you could suggest that to Boris too.

Funilly enough, our works christmas do tonight is in a Bierkeller in Nottingham. I shall take my laptop !

Is he ? I know he is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, but I don't believe he has any formal Law Enforcement function ?

Actually this is a very smart play to force the GOP to take it seriously. Now over the break all the media will be replaying McConnnels words saying he is working hand in hand with the WH and Graham saying he isnt an impartial juror.

Yeah still the whole  must have a public press conference announcing an investigation, NOT into corruption in general but into the Bidens specifically, shows its an abuse of office on his part.

I can't believe that Nancy Pelosi is actually DOING this.... delaying forwarding the articles of impeachment to the Senate. This smacks - to me - of absolute desperation.

Indeed. And the third president to be acquitted by the Senate :P

It is desperation to defend the constitution. By doing so she is ensuring the nation knows if and when Trump gets acquitted in the Senate that it wasnt because of a fair trial based on facts but because of biased jurors.
