The Douma Hoax: Anatomy of a False Flag

Phaeton80

Recommended Posts

As whistleblowers and documents continue to destroy the narrative surrounding the alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma, Syria last year, it is becoming increasingly apparent that this false flag event has been exposed. This week on The Corbett Report podcast, James goes through the remarkable timeline of the Douma hoax and breaks the spell that the propagandists have sought to cast on the public.

Was that the one with the little crater in the road, about two feet wide and six inches deep, which people, not even wearing any kind of face mask, were passing by on motorbikes and taking no notice of at all, or the one where the gas canister fell through the roof of a house and landed, very carefully, and without breaking anything, on someone's bed, for it to be photographed by the Oscar winning White Helmets? But I won't express any skepticism of course, because that would have me labeled as an Apologist for the Gassing Monster Assad and the New Global Hitler, his buddy Putin.

Assessment by the engineering sub-team of the OPCW Fact-Finding Mission investigating the alleged chemical attack in Douma in April 2018

In summary:

  • The analysis at Location 4 showed simply that the cylinder with fins and valve attached could not have fitted through the hole.
  • The analysis at Location 2, using finite element analysis and computer simulation, was more complicated. This showed that the concrete slab could not have stopped the cylinder, that if the cylinder had been stopped by the rebars there would have been indents on the cylinder, and that an impact could not have bent the rebars through more than 90 degrees to point away from the impact location.

We note that several of the anomalies reported by the Engineering Assessment have been identified independently from open source images by members of the Working Group: these include the inability to fit the cylinder through the hole at Location 4, the presence of similar craters on nearby buildings at Location 2, and the incompatibility of the criss-cross pattern on the paintwork of the cylinder with a fall through wire mesh.

The results from both locations are summarized in paragraph 32:

The dimensions, characteristics and appearance of the cylinders, and the surrounding scene of the incidents, were inconsistent with what would have been expected in the case of either cylinder being delivered from an aircraft. In each case the alternative hypothesis produced the only plausible explanation for observations at the scene.

Guess we are just going to ignore the fact that the OPCW team wasnt able to get to the site for about a week and a half/two weeks, which alone would of made it extremely difficult to find any proof that chlorine gas was used as even most of it's by products would of degraded to background levels by then, along with the fact that the OPCW team was not allowed to view any of the 43 bodies or perform any autopsies as they had already been buried.

This is from the actual OPCW report.

"8.9 Although chlorine decomposes rapidly in the environment, the gas itself or its decomposition products are known to react with a variety of other chemicals in the environment, including organic materials and metals. Such products can be quite stable and therefore can provide long-lived chemical signatures of chlorine exposure. The presence of chlorine-reactive species is based primarily on the detection of bornyl chloride and/or trichlorophenol in the wood samples. Bornyl chloride is a chemically-stable chlorinated derivative of alpha-pinene, a common terpene-type compound found mainly in coniferous wood [1]. When exposed to chlorine, alpha-pinene can be converted to bornyl chloride which is a chemical not naturally present in the environment. Although molecular chlorine (chlorine gas) does not react directly with alpha-pinene, hydrogen chloride, a decomposition product of molecular chlorine, is known to readily react with it to generate bornyl chloride [1] [2].Two of the wood samples collected at the alleged sites showed the presence of bornyl chloride.

8.10 Based on these findings alone, it cannot be unequivocally stated that the wood was exposed to chlorine gas, rather than to hydrogen chloride or hydrochloric acid. Other chemicals such as phosgene or cyanogen chloride, which also decompose to give hydrogen chloride or hydrochloric acid, also could theoretically give rise to bornyl chloride from interaction with alpha-pinene in the wood.

8.11 In all wood samples analysed, an analogue of phenol, trichlorophenol was also detected. Like bornyl chloride, this compound is not naturally present in wood; and, in experiments conducted by one designated laboratory, the chlorinated phenol could be generated by exposing wood samples to chlorine gas.
8.12 One of the methods by which phenol can undergo ring chlorination is through a process known as electrophilic aromatic substitution with hypochlorous acid, a disproportionation product of molecular chlorine [3]. Hydrochloric acid, the decomposition product of phosgene and cyanogen chloride, on the other hand, does not chlorinate phenols and consequently neither phosgene nor cyanogen chloride should give rise to the trichlorophenol found in the samples. This observation would tend to confirm that the toxic chemical containing reactive chlorine was neither phosgene nor cyanogen chloride, at least not as the only chemical present.

8.13 It should be noted that phenol can also be chlorinated to trichlorophenol with sodium hypochlorite, the main component of chlorine-based bleach [4] [5].

8.14 In addition to bornyl chloride and trichlorophenol being detected in the wood samples, various other chlorinated compounds such as di and trichloroacetic acid as well as chloral hydrate were found in soil, concrete, wood and textile samples taken at the alleged incident sites. These are all compounds that are not generally present naturally in the environment and can be generated from reaction with active chlorine species (e.g., molecular chlorine, hypochlorous acid, sodium hypochlorite or chlorine-based bleaching agents) [5]. Studies have demonstrated that, when humic material in soil or sewage, for example, is mixed with active chlorine solutions, various chlorinated acetic acids, chloroaldehydes chlorinated phenols, among others, are formed [5]. Many such compounds were detected in the samples analysed."

So either chlorine gas was used or various chlorine based chemical compounds were spread over a ton of stuff over a decently wide area.

Assad had a history of dropping chlorine gas and nerve gas on the rebels, one thing that is important to remember that while only a handful of chemical attacks made the news there have been well over a hundred recorded incidents of chemical weapons being used in Syria, essentially unless it was over 10 civilians dieing it didnt make the news.

So back on topic, what follows, imho, from the substantial factual indications in the OP are some very disconcerting conclusions, with dire implications.. being;

- there seems to be a very strong case Western institutions which pride / sell themselves as being independent entities have been effectively coerced, pressured by (the) main Western powerplayers to act as promoters of deceitful narratives used to engage in warfare against foreign state actors (ie. weaponised in information warfare, manipulating public perception to rationalise 'intervention');

- the simple fact the rather clear and implicating findings as reported in the OP have been all but completely and totally ignored (silenced) by the mainstream media (bar one) is yet another confirmation of the complete lack of independence in said media landscape.. Which, given the essential role of an independent fourth estate forcing some checks & balances on our respective governments, especially given earlier results, opens up a pandora's box of warmongering propaganda and public perception manipulation.

For those who only accept their information from 'not the left', heres Tucker Carlson (also referred to in OP vdo).. 'hating the USA'. :D

How Jose Bustani, former head of the OPCW, was pressured in 2002 by US officials to resign in an effort to clear the way for the Iraq WMD narrative and desired military intervention..

“We Know Where Your Kids Live”: How John Bolton Once Threatened an International Official

In early 2002, a year before the invasion of Iraq, the Bush administration was putting intense pressure on Bustani to quit as director-general of the OPCW — despite the fact that he had been unanimously re-elected to head the 145-nation body just two years earlier. His transgression? Negotiating with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq to allow OPCW weapons inspectors to make unannounced visits to that country — thereby undermining Washington’s rationale for regime change.

In 2001, then-Secretary of State Colin Powell had penned a letter to Bustani, thanking him for his “very impressive” work. By March 2002, however, Bolton — then serving as under secretary of state for Arms Control and International Security Affairs — arrived in person at the OPCW headquarters in the Hague to issue a warning to the organization’s chief. And, according to Bustani, Bolton didn’t mince words. “Cheney wants you out,” Bustani recalled Bolton saying, referring to the then-vice president of the United States. “We can’t accept your management style.”

A Coup in The Hague

When the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons was formed in 1997, it was given the sweeping charge of enforcing the international Chemical Weapons Convention, the treaty banning such arms. The man appointed to lead that mission was Jose Bustani, an experienced and widely respected Brazilian diplomat.

On April 22 of this year, Bustani was ousted from that post after an unprecedented (and some say unsupportable) vote orchestrated by the Bush White House. Now, Bustani is saying that the implications of that vote should be clear — and chilling — for anyone committed to true multinational action.

Not that it seems to interest anyone, but heres a newly released batch of documents contradicting the alleged Assad chemical attack in Douma, Syria in April 2018.

Quote

The leaked documents, including internal emails of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) — which investigated the Douma site — reveal mass dissent within the UN-authorized chemical weapons watchdog organization's ranks over conclusions previously reached by the international body which pointed to Syrian government culpability. It's part of a growing avalanche of dissent memos and documents casting the West's push for war in Syria in doubt (which had resulted in two major US and allied attacks on Syria).

This newly released batch, WikiLeaks reports, includes a memo stating 20 inspectors feel that the officially released version of the OPCW's report on Douma “did not reflect the views of the team members that deployed to [Syria]”. This comes amid widespread allegations US officials brought immense pressure to bear on the organization.

These are clear, undeniable indications the Syria war has been subject to similar (broadly supported) deception seen in the Iraq wars.. (as well as Lybia, Afghanistan, as well as the latest target, the framing of Iran as 'the main supporter of terrorism'). And given the complicity in the dissemination and confirmation of this rather obvious lie, again, any rational human being should critically reconsider not only similar narratives, but the increasinly unteneble generic view of 'the West' as a defender of 'peace, security and democracy' as well (including the damning role of our established media- landscape, which is wholly complicit in these efforts).

If all these proofs of malignant, warmongering false narratives does not make one do so, it stands to reason such an individual cannot think objectively.. and as such is maintaining a propagandised version of reality (in an effort to subconsciously or consciously maintain his/her 'safe' paradigm).

Deluge Of New Leaks Further Shreds The Establishment Syria Narrative

The following are hyperlinks to the individual OPCW documents WikiLeaks published, with some highlights found therein:

A first draft of the OPCW’s July 2018 Interim Report on the team’s findings in Douma.

Contains crucial information that was not included in either the final draft of the July 2018 Interim Report or the March 2019 Final Report, including (emphasis mine):

1. The symptoms of the alleged victims of the supposed chemical incident were inconsistent with chlorine gas poisoning.

“Some of the signs and symptoms described by witnesses and noted in photos and video recordings taken by witnesses, of the alleged victims are not consistent with exposure to chlorine-containing choking or blood agents such as chlorine gas, phosgene or cyanogen chloride,” we learn in the unredacted first draft. “Specifically, the rapid onset of heavy buccal and nasal frothing in many victims, as well as the colour of the secretions, is not indicative of intoxication from such chemicals.”

“The large number of decedents in the one location (allegedly 40 to 45), most of whom were seen in videos and photos strewn on the floor of the apartments away from open windows, and within a few meters of an escape to un-poisoned or less toxic air, is at odds with intoxication by chlorine-based choking or blood agents, even at high concentrations,” the unredacted draft says.

This important information was omitted from the Interim Report and completely contradicted by the Final Report, which said that the investigation had found “reasonable grounds that the use of a toxic chemical as a weapon took place. This toxic chemical contained reactive chlorine. The toxic chemical was likely molecular chlorine.”

2. OPCW inspectors couldn’t find any explanation for why the gas cylinders supposedly dropped from Syrian aircraft were so undamaged by the fall.

“The FFM [Fact-Finding Mission] team is unable to provide satisfactory explanations for the relatively moderate damage to the cylinders allegedly dropped from an unknown height, compared to the destruction caused to the rebar-reinforced concrete roofs,” reads the leaked first draft. “In the case of Location 4, how the cylinder ended up on the bed, given the point at which it allegedly penetrated the room, remains unclear. The team considers that further studies by specialists in metallurgy and structural engineering or mechanics are required to provide an authoritative assessment of the team’s observations.”

We now know that a specialist was subsequently recruited to find an answer to this mystery. A leaked document dated February 2019 and published by the Working Group On Syria, Propaganda and Media in May 2019 was signed by a longtime OPCW inspector named Ian Henderson. Henderson, a South African ballistics expert, ran some experiments and determined that “The dimensions, characteristics and appearance of the cylinders, and the surrounding scene of the incidents, were inconsistent with what would have been expected in the case of either cylinder being delivered from an aircraft,” writing instead that the cylinders being “manually placed” (i.e. staged) in the locations where investigators found them is “the only plausible explanation for observations at the scene.”

More on Ian Henderson in a moment.

3. The team concluded that either the victims were poisoned with some unknown gas which wasn’t chlorine, or there was no chemical weapon at all.

“The inconsistency between the presence of a putative chlorine-containing toxic chocking or blood agent on the one hand and the testimonies of alleged witnesses and symptoms observed from video footage and photographs, on the other, cannot be rationalised,” the unredacted first draft reads. “The team considered two possible explanations for the incongruity:
a. The victims were exposed to another highly toxic chemical agent that gave rise to the symptoms observed and has so far gone undetected.
b. The fatalities resulted from a non-chemical-related incident.”

Again, none of this information made it into any of the OPCW’s public reports on the Douma incident. The difference between the information we were given (that a chlorine gas attack took place and the strong suggestion that it was dropped by Syrian aircraft) and the report the inspectors were initially trying to put together (literally the exact opposite) is staggering. For more insider information on the deliberation between OPCW inspectors who wanted their actual findings to be reported and the organisation officials who conspired to omit those findings, read this November report by journalist Jonathan Steele.

links posted are not sources that have been vetted in anyway. They constitute a one sided unprefessionally carried out inspection which they do not have the ability to perform in the first place, but like you said the forum does allow opinions to be expressed.

Here are the facts on the investigation into the Chlorine attack in Doma Syria. The Organization that conducted this investigation  is from The Hague in the Netherlands. The name of the organization is the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). This source is very reliable they are The Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The FFM’s activities regarding this allegation included on-site visits to collect environmental samples, conduct witness interviews and gather data. The FFM further analysed a range of inputs including witness testimonies, environmental and biomedical samples analysis results, toxicological and ballistic analyses, and additional digital information from witnesses.

Regarding the alleged use of toxic chemicals as a weapon in Douma, the evaluation and analysis of all the above-referenced information gathered by the FFM provide reasonable grounds that the use of a toxic chemical as a weapon has taken place on 7 April 2018. This toxic chemical contained reactive chlorine. The toxic chemical was likely molecular chlorine.

The FFM’s report on the allegation of chemical weapons use in Douma has been shared with States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention and they will soon receive a briefing at OPCW Headquarters in The Hague. The report was also transmitted to the UN Security Council through the UN Secretary-General.

This information really isn't disputable unless someone is doing so for the sake of argument or to intentional deceive others through a conspiracy theory. These people are the experts, so in reality the Conspiracy theory presented here is if no consequence at all.

That's very interesting currently The Hague is investigating where all this false information is coming from and who is spreading it. If you studied the links in the email I received today, they identify the perpetrator of this false information. The gentleman was a clerk in their mailroom in Syria, who falsified a report and passed it to the general public. The information on this is listed in the email I received from The Hague.

Enjoy the emailed links I hope you find some useful information, I contacted them directly because I felt it would add content to this thread. There is nothing better than information straight from the Horses mouth.

There will be additional information coming to me from The Hague within the next week. I will update this thread as new information comes to light, concerning the individual who falsified and released documents into the public sector, without permission from the Secretary General at The Hague. One thing is for certain he will be tried for his crime at The Hague hopefully they will not be Lenient on him.

Below is from one of the links I have shared that was part of The Hague email sent to me.

In March 2019, I received the first indication that an internal document pertaining to the Douma incident, produced by a staff member could have been disclosed outside of the Secretariat. It should be noted that, the time of the FFM deployment in Douma in 2018, this staff member was a liaison officer at our Command Post Office in Damascus. As such, and as is customary with all deployments in Syria, he was tasked with temporarily assisting the FFM with information collection at some sites in Douma.

The document produced by this staff member pointed at possible attribution, which is outside of the mandate of the FFM with regard to the formulation of its findings. Therefore, I instructed that, beyond the copy that would exclusively be kept by the FFM, the staff member be advised to submit his assessment to the IIT, which he did, so that this document could later be used by the IIT.

As is the case with all FFM investigations, the Secretariat encourages serious and professional debates within, so all views, analysis, information and opinions are considered. This is what the FFM did with the information included in the publicly disclosed document; all available information was examined, weighed and deliberated. Diverse views were expressed, discussed and considered against the overall facts and evidence collected and analysed.

With regard to the ballistics data collected by the FFM, they were analysed by three external experts commissioned by the FFM, and working independently from one another. In the end, while using different methods and instruments, they all reached the same conclusions that can be found in the FFM final report.

When further evidence appeared that the document drafted by the staff member had been shared outside this framework, I considered I had sufficient information to authorise the initiation of an investigation to clarify the situation. At this moment, and consistent with my responsibilities as Director-General towards States Parties, actions had to be taken.

Taking into account that the issue is under investigation, I will not make any further commentaries or evaluations that could be incompatible with the requirements of the investigation. I intend to keep you informed about the outcome of the investigation, as appropriate, in due time.

I have provided all the information I have so far.

For now, I would like to reiterate that I stand by the impartial and professional conclusions of the FFM that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the use of a toxic chemical as a weapon took place in Douma on 7 April 2018. This toxic chemical contained reactive chlorine. The toxic chemical was likely molecular chlorine.
