"Going" to, but my relatives always said "fixing to" and I did until I was in high school and people made fun of me, including my English teacher.

When I want to sound more formal, I say "refrigerator". Otherwise, I say "fridge". ("réfrigérateur" and "frigo" in French).

I say "hot chocolate" ("chocolat chaud" in French, literally).

Those mean two different things to me.  Hop up and down, literally, and prance around means raisiing your knees higher than you need to in order to walk.

I don't use that kind of words, in any language.

I think it's said "croquemitaine" in French, which English translation is "bogeyman".
