Done and dusted. 5th & 3rd largest economies in the world sign trade agreement. I wonder what they'll say when we sign one with the world's number 1. U.S.A.

If we get a Anglo union then there are some former colonies who are also heavily pro-Britain such as Singapore. Maybe even Ireland if all members are independent. We should approach India and see if we can tempt them to coming onboard in return for us making them our global factory instead of China.

It would be awesome, truly dominate world affairs, The UK has already started the process to join CPTPP. not bad for little Englanders.

If all members are being independent in CANZUK but share a common permanent alliance, free movement of people, aligned foreign affairs, and trade agreements, we should approach the US to see if they want to turn it into CANZUKUS.

From an Empire to a realm. Safeguards to get the US onboard would be no closer union without a vote so their independence is respected and each member keeps its monarch or elected president.

Have you not been watching the last 4  years?  We don't want free movement of people and aligned foreign policy unless you fall in line with us.  Trade agreements are fine as long as you don't try to screw us as everybody including Canada has.

Are you trying for the global elitist dictatorship that bee is always warning us about?

Despite brexit - ;)

Unilever to become UK company despite Dutch tax threat.

Unilever is to push ahead with unifying its legal structure in the UK, despite the threat from Dutch politicians of an “exit tax” in the Netherlands that could cost the consumer goods group €11bn. The maker of Dove soap, Domestos bleach and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream said the boards of both its UK and Dutch entities had chosen on Tuesday to proceed with combining them into a single London-based company.

It will ask the UK’s High Court to approve the change, structured as a merger, on November 2, to take effect on November 29. This will end a dual structure that has been in place since Unilever was formed more than 90 years ago.

A realm, of course, is much smaller and less significant than an empire...

You think most Brits are against the former empire nations?

You are sadly mistaken there. We like our own kind and have a very close relationship with them.

No I don't think that.  I just wonder if you are looking for an elitist globe spanning confederation under your control.  It seems to be something bee talks about a lot.

Why isn't independent Britain good enough?

Politically we already all have the same Head of State and all member states armed forces take their commission from her not their Parliaments.

We are happy to work alongside with the U.S.A and other friendly Countries and don't have the economy to be global dominating ,but the E.U. seem to be hell bent on stopping us in case we take some of their trade . All we want is F.T.A with the rest of the world ,is that too much to ask.

EU to allow Britain, U.S. in on future joint defence projects.

The decision resolves a long saga over whether Britain, which has left the bloc, could take part in a new EU defence pact, known as Permanent Structured Cooperation, or PESCO.

Last time I looked the UK was a large % of EU defense design/ build capacity, if cut out of future projects then those projects would be in doubt or set back by years and delisting the US from contributing would be at least as bigger dent in capacity and likely more.

It was never an option for EU just political bluster from Brussels. ;)

After Jan 1st '21 ,let us Not interfere with the affairs of the E.U. .Having rescued them twice from dictatorship and tyranny , it's up to them to defend themselves . Apart from trade between both sides let them sort out their own problems ,and not waste another British life fighting for people who do not care about Britain.

The EU has, ironically, begun the process of suing the UK for having “unjustifiably stricter” rules on importing certain plant pests, begging the UK that “while the EU has proportionate measures in place to protect plants from those plant pests, the UK protective measures are unjustifiably stricter than the EU requirements.” Europhiles won’t be-leaf it…

The EU Commission had previously asked the government to “remove its measures by 20 June 2020″, however compliance was not forthcoming – such is the government’s belief in maintaining world-high standards. The EU has now sent Boris a letter of formal notice, giving the UK another two months to take the necessary measures to comply with the request. Pesky Brits, trying to impose their health and safety red tape on the EU…

Michel Barnier tells EU that UK has 'blocked' Brexit trade deal progress.

According to minutes of the meeting, Barnier said the most important hurdle was the “level playing field”, which would ensure the UK follows the same rules as the EU on issues such as labour law and state aid.

The prime minister has stressed that alignment [with European rules] would breach sovereignty.

US President Donald Trump's envoy to Northern Ireland has said the Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney had told him the EU could use the threat of curtailing commercial flights from the UK if Britain's Internal Market Bill resulted in a hard border on the island of Ireland.

So genial Uncle Joe (remember the last Uncle Joe and what he turned out like?) has said, or rather the Democratic Party has said through their mouthpiece Genial Uncle Joe, that Britain can expect no more cooperation and Most Favoured Nation status is well off the table if they insist on persisting in this Brexit business.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/11/09/biden-vs-brexit/

It's all in keeping with what we've seen here that those most anti-Brexit are also the ones most fanatically anti-Trump. And Boris's welcome to the new Ruler of the Free World seems to have been somewhat token so far hasn't it. :hmm: I wonder if the pro-Trump, anti-election thieves alliance might be able to recruit him to the cause? It might do all of us a bit of good if it distracts him from C*v*d for a bit.

Even more interestringly,

In 2018, he said that while he was disappointed by the vote for Brexit, he wasn’t surprised, because ‘in times of confusion and great change’, people become ‘susceptible to demagogues and charlatans who, in order to aggrandise their power, find a scapegoat’.

Now who could he mean?

"Most Favoured Nation" is determined by the WTO, NOT by the USA.

Actually not legal. The UK carriers under International Law can fly into ANY EU Airport without restriction. They are only limited once inside the EU to flying internally to another EU Country. Of course, 80% of all Transatlantic flights from the EU are routed through Irish Airspace which comes under UK Flight Traffic conrol. Remove those rights and the EU carriers have to re-route by several thousand miles for which their aircraft fleets do not have the the range. They are stuffed (forgive the lapse into the vernacular)
