Mystery illness to strike Chinese city is not Sars, say authorities

The commission said in a statement initial investigations had ruled out Sars as well as Middle East respiratory syndrome, influenza, bird flu and adenovirus.

China says it has identified a new strain of corona virus from the same family that caused the 2002-03 Sars epidemic as the cause of a mystery pneumonia outbreak  in the central city of Wuhan that infected 59 people.

Well, I'm still live in R.O.K where ROK is very close to China.

Somebody helps me!!!

Maybe I should eat more Kimchi and star anise to prevent that disease.

It sounds less drastic and lacks human to human transmission so hopefully you will stay well :)

"China reports first death from mystery pneumonia outbreak"

"The patient who died was identified as a 61-year-old man who had been hospitalised after suffering shortness of breath and severe pneumonia. The commission said the man, who died Thursday, also suffered from abdominal tumours and chronic liver disease and had been a frequent customer at a food market on Wuhan’s outskirts linked to the majority of cases."

So far still no confirmed human to human transmission.

But some researchers are getting suspicious.

Time will tell.

Also, it's good China let the WHO know immediately this time instead of trying to cover it up like last time.

Chinese authorities have launched an investigation into a mysterious viral pneumonia which has infected dozens of people in the central city of Wuhan.

A total of 44 cases have been confirmed so far, 11 of which are considered "severe", officials said on Friday.

The outbreak has prompted Singapore and Hong Kong to bring in screening processes for travellers from the city.

It comes amid online fears the virus could be linked to Sars, or severe acute respiratory syndrome.

The potentially deadly, flu-like Sars virus killed more than 700 people around the world in 2002-03, after originating in China.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-50984025

With all these strange Viral infections coming out if that part of Asia, I don't beleive they all are just naturally occurring. I beleive some of them may be Bioengineered. With the population centers being so congested where these events are taking place, it would be the perfect place for testing a virus they are engineering. When these kinds of weapons are first developed they don't make them lethal so they can be tested on humans, and so that they can make antivirus.

After testing is completed, then they engineer the Virus further to make it deadly. Since they have an antivirus they will continue testing the reengineered Virus on Animals, such as Chimpanzees. They do this faze of the testing to make the Antivirus that was preiviously developed able to destroy the upgraded Virus, after this is completed they decide what kind of delivery system they are going to use.

If the Virus is Airborne or if it can be spread through person to person contact they will normally use humans who are intentionally infected to spread the Virus. This way they could spread the Virus to all corners of the world very easily, and since they have a antivirus the infected people who have spread the Virus can cure themselves. Its a proven fact that once infected most people who survive will be safe from future infection due to antibodies that they have in their systems.

i have no proof this is what is happening, but due my experience in this field it certainly makes me wonder if it is not the cause. From 2013 until Dec 2019 I lived in South Korea part of the time, Viral infections have been attacking large portions of the domestic animal populations, mainly chickens and pigs. This has occurred all over that part if Asia, starting in China and spreading outward. Since these infections have started millions and millions of animals have been put to death, in some cases with. no end insight.

I am aware that many will disregard my comments here, others may think I am crazy and laugh at me. That's ok I can take it, but at least pay attention because these things are happening, and in time everyone will understand how serious this issue can be

Peace

It's been just over 100 years since the great influenza outbreak that killed tens of millions around the globe.  At some point, with the nature of influenza virus to mutate, it's bound to happen again and if nations aren't willing to close borders immediately to all air travel and ship commerce it will be a much quicker spread of the killer than last time.  Like all other pandemics, it will burn out in time but I hate to think of the damage to the world economy in the meantime :(

Influenza has always tended to kill the weak, the aged and the very young but that strain in 1917 killed the ones with the healthiest immune system.  Their bodies literally killed themselves by the over reaction to the invading virus.  It was a horrific way to die.

On the bright side we have the CDC, WHO and each nation has their own versions of the CDC, which wasn't true in 1917, so the science communities response to the outbreak would be quicker.

It was that 1917 outbreak that led to our modern science of epidemiology.  There is a wonderfully enlightening book about it - THE GREAT INFLUENZA - that explains how scientists rallied and worked together to literally create new fields of medical discipline to combat the Spanish Flu.  You'll note that I didn't say the outbreak of a new strain that did not previously cross species, would be "worse" necessarily.  I just mean that due to our widespread ease of global travel and governmental reluctance to put travel restrictions in place, the bug will spread far quicker and to larger populations in less time.  That will give scientists less time to stave off mass deaths.  No doubt they will eventually find a means to combat the virus but it might also burn through populations and end due to acquired immunity by the survivors first :(

New China virus: Cases triple as infection spreads to Beijing and Shanghai

The number of people infected with a new virus in China tripled over the weekend, with the outbreak spreading from Wuhan to other major cities.

There are now more than 200 cases, mostly in Wuhan, though the respiratory illness has also been detected in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Three people have died. Japan, Thailand and South Korea have reported cases.

Virus breakout

With all of the events regarding China politics. It seems interesting as the protests have slowed down. This has rised. More likely than not these protestors and anyone near the neighboring cities will become into a state of panic. The government is going to give relief efforts subsequently gaining back popular opinion. I think china has released this virus to stop all protests.
