+Desertrat56 Posted January 9, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2020 No. I didn't know Oliver North was writing books. I don't usually read a book unless it has spaceships, wizards, dragons in it. Have you read it?

"The Riefleman" Released 12-10-2019 about the American Revolution Not a fan of Oliver North and trust no mainstream author in their opinions on such matters. I’m apolitical as well but but remain a disinterested [unbiased] spectator and continue to study this subject a bit. Just finishing up this gem. https://www.amazon.com/Yahweh-Zion-Jealous-Promised-Civilizations/dp/0996143041?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-ipad-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=0996143041 Herbert Hoover’s work published by the Hoover institution in 2011 is next on the list — it’s a tome, my preference is for shorter books — so little time. Ive been waiting for the used book market to offer a cheaper price, no luck. And unlike FDR, he was guided and supported by a remarkable woman, Lou Henry Hoover. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Henry_Hoover https://www.amazon.com/Freedom-Betrayed-Herbert-Hoovers-Aftermath-ebook/dp/B0076QSNW8? Festina Posted January 9, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 9, 2020 I love books, I was a partner in a used book store for a time. No money to be made, it actually cost me, but it was a labor of love. Best part of my life.

"The Riefleman" Released 12-10-2019 about the American Revolution I discovered an great Author during my bookstore adventure — Marie Corelli [Mary MaKay]. Never heard of her? She outsold H.G. Wells, Arthur Conan Doyle and Rudyard Kipling. They were not pleased but she was Queen Victoria’s favorite. You will love her As I do. She is the Creator of the Best Seller. Start with her first book; A Romance of Two Worlds [bookfinder has nice older copies] and skip to The Sorrows of Satan. [Vanancourt Books, old copies of this are spendy] Wiki is not a reliable source for info on Who She Was. Amazing woman. Men like her books as well and for all the right reasons. Festina Posted January 10, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) Tolkien’s Golem — inspired by Corelli. As you will observe the link is dead. She was inspired by Many, and Many were inspired by HER. Natural Evolution. http://www.washingtonindependentreviewofbooks.com/index.php/features/has-gollums-literary-progenitor-been-discovered Fourteen early Hollywood films were based on her works in silent films. I’ve only seen one and not only was it pathetic attempt, it was a lie. http://www.wiseoldgoat.com/papers/corelli_in_film.html Here are several examples, all are referenced in the link above. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelma_(1910_film) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sorrows_of_Satan_(1926_film) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/God's_Good_Man https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumstantial_Evidence_(1929_film) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Young_Diana She was well known and loved world wide by many at the time, yet holly wood wanted to discredit her.. Why? It’s not a an Unexplained Mystery. She knew and she wanted others to know as well. But THEY didn’t want the truth to be told. If you read her works you will see Early Hollywood was not capable of expressing her work in film, and went out of their way to mistreat her work, special effects would have been essential for correct expression into a media format but not yet in existence. And yet today’s film industry is perfectly capable of producing of her works — and are there, but uncredited. Terrible crime.
