Manchester sex abuse: 'Fundamental flaws'

Recommended Posts

itsnotoutthere

"Police and social workers investigating child sex exploitation in Manchester knew children were suffering "the most profound abuse... but did not protect them", a report has found.

After a child's death in 2003, police identified at least 97 "predominantly Asian" suspects, but "very few" faced justice, the independent review found.

The police operation was "prematurely closed down" after senior officers decided to "remove resources", it said.

Police said "authorities fell short".

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Assistant Chief Constable Mabs Hussain said the force was now reviewing all the cases covered in the report and had made a voluntary referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct "to determine if there are any conduct matters that should be investigated".

Perhaps the police had to divert resources to keep an eye on all those nasty tweets.

"After a child's death in 2003, police identified at least 97 "predominantly Asian" suspects, but "very few" faced justice"     .......Well, there's the first question to be answered....WHY?

I think child abuse and molestation and anything related to robbing a child of their innocence or life are arguably the worst crimes anyone could commit - and most people would probably agree. I mean, even in prison, hardened career criminals really only want to kill one other type of criminal just because of their conviction - and that's anybody who kills or molests a child.

Yet over the past ten years in particular, we're starting to see just how corrupted and hidden this dark world of pedophilia and child trafficking really is and how oblivious we've all been to it all.

That there are not only sick b******* out there who are doing this to children - but people who are complicit, who are enabling this sort of thing to happen and people who are willing to help to cover it up.

And it'll just keep happening the more that people don't want to face it and don't want to talk about it because it's an 'awkward, uncomfortable' subject.

It's not just awkward and uncomfortable. It's heartbreaking. It's sickening, It's repulsive - and it all needs to stop.

There are pedophiles out there who are pushing to have their 'sexual orientation' towards children recognised and normalised. How much sicker can a person get?!

Technology and surveillance are better than they've ever been - so how are so many sick ****s slipping through the cracks and still being able to view, make, access and share *** Blocked ***ography?!

Yet CIA, FBI and other specialist government agencies have algorithms that alert them whenever someone says the word, "Bomb"?

Jesus Fecking Christ.

New Jersey "lost track of" 75% of their registered sex offenders.

Because to have questioned so many "predominantly Asian" suspects would result in charges of Islamophobia and "racism" (remind me again, what 'race' is Islam ? ) being levelled against the Police. The hassle this would cause them would be FAR greater than the deaths and torture of a few white children, of which they have a surplus anyway.

Just a plug for the negative blame being out on "social workers" here.

From my experience journalistic like to rag on social workers for problems when in reality the social workers probably did everything they were legally allowed to do. Social Workers can only do what the law and system allows.

Yes, contrary to what was said at the time, it seems 'lessons haven't been learned' from Rotherham, Rochdale & all the other places this has happened before. Quelle Suprise

Police and social services failed because they feared being labelled racists and child victims sacrificed. the quicker this country returns to calling a spade a spade the quicker we can tackle this sort of ****.

in my city there are shootings left right and centre. only the other day there was another one, get this in response the police where granted stop and search powers for 5 days. criminals just lie low fr 5 days. the police cant even police, and it all dates back to to many black men being stopped. now we have knife crime, gun crime through the roof. well done the Political correctness brigade.

Panorama, the BBC’s flagship investigative programme, took an indepth look at some of the claims about paedophile gangs in these northern towns back in 2004. I remember it well.
Of course, being the Beeb, they weren’t actually looking into the paedo gangs themselves, but those that were trying to expose them. In this case it was Nick Griffin of the BNP.
It was the usual hatchet job that the far left are so good at. Most of us at that time were still living in blissful ignorance and knew nothing about these crimes. Like the horror of FGM most of us couldn’t believe it. These claims seemed like some dystopian far right fantasy. They weren’t.
Our state broadcaster didn’t stop there. After the prog’ had aired they passed all their info’ onto the West Yorkshire police who proceeded to prosecute…Nick Griffin.
Dennis McShane was the Labour MP for Rotherham at the time. Since the horrendous truth of what was happening on his watch has been made public he has said, “I am a true Guardian reader and did not want to rock the multicultural boat.” So, due to “cultural sensitivities” he chose to turn a blind eye to the industrial scale rape of underage white girls. If he were the only one it wouldn’t be quite so bad, but this is an establishment cover up from top to bottom.
The repulsive McShane is one of the very few MPs who were jailed for fiddling their expenses.
As far as I’m concerned that’s the least of his crimes…

I have to say I agree entirely with stevewinn - sadly we now live in a world where calling someone a name is deemed worse than allowing actual child sex exploitation in our cities on a large scale. You can lose your job and be publicly scorned for a tweet that some people may disagree with but our own police are ignoring horrendous crimes in fear of being called 'racist'... Madness.

Indeed Steve. Interestingly in researching this on the internet, ive inadvertently stumbled on a new game. I'm calling it 'find the odd one out'

Just type in Google search engine 'grooming gang' and then preface it with any city you can think of. So far I've had a hit with - Manchester, Leeds, Leicester, Swindon, Bristol, Rochdale (obviously), Cardiff, etc.  Word of warning though, it's very difficult to find the odd one out.
