This thread is about a guy in Iowa. This is the weird and bizarre forum. You want him to take on Mitch? lol

Interestingly, if the duel were between him and his ex-wife, under 15th century German law, he would have to fight in a waist deep hole with only a wooden club.

The woman gets to stay on the ground, armed with a rock in a scarf.

Anything the US can do, Europe has already done weirder

Stop obsessing over him.

Hard to say that when his cult like followers treat him like a god. One criticism and they lose their heads ready to spill blood.

I don't have a problem with two people 'dueling' if both parties consent and sign paperwork attesting to that consent. To the death is extreme, but a fight until someone yields? Why not? Heck, you could even televise that **** and people would pay to watch. Especially if
(blunted) melee weapons were used to distinguish it from MMA and other fighting sports.

Technically dueling doesnt have to be to the death, nor does it have to involve weapons. There has got to be a way for this to happen.

I thought dueling was already banned when Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton. Guess not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel#Legislation

In 1839, after the death of a congressman, dueling was outlawed in Washington, D.C.[40][41] A constitutional amendment was even proposed for the federal constitution to outlaw dueling.[42] Some US states' constitutions, such as West Virginia's, contain explicit prohibitions on dueling to this day.[43] Other US states, like Mississippi until the late 1970s, formerly had prohibitions on dueling in their state constitutions, but later repealed them,[44] whereas others, such as Iowa, constitutionally prohibited known duelers from holding political office until the early 1990s.[45]

A Kansas man has asked the Iowa District Court to allow him to fight his ex-wife, or her lawyer, with a sword duel
