moonman Posted January 17, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2020 (edited) Logically, the fence part is either a perimeter to keep other bugs away, or to keep the baby spiders in - maybe until they grow strong enough to climb over it. The purpose would probably be a lot more obvious if they could find the spider doing it, or at least watch the babies hatch. Next time you see one, bug guys - collect it and wait for them to hatch.
