Still Waters Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2020 A zoo has welcomed the arrival of the first rhinoceros born in Wales. First-time mother Dakima gave birth to the healthy male eastern black rhinoceros calf at Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire earlier this month. The newborn is one of only an estimated 40 of the critically endangered species born in the UK in the past 20 years. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-51233591 4
Kittens Are Jerks Posted January 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2020 Baby rhinos are adorable, and this one's no exception. Given how endangered this species is, it's no exaggeration when the farm staff describes the little one as the "most important baby ever to be born" there.
