hetrodoxly Posted January 28, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) Nicholas Parsons died, he had a good innings at 96, working right up until his death i listened to 'Just a minute' last night one of the few BBC radio 4 programs i could still listen to, though even that had started to go down the slippery slope. RIP. Edited January 28, 2020 by hetrodoxly 2
acute Posted January 28, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2020 He was not my cup of tea, but I had a lot of respect for him. I was never quite sure whether we were laughing with him or at him, though. He was a product of his time, strangely stuck in the past, with a more formal way of interacting. Nevertheless, an amazing career, and a pleasant chap by all accounts. RIP, Mr. Parsons.

Waspie_Dwarf Posted January 28, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2020 I saw Nicholas Parsons on stage playing the narrator in the Rocky Horror Show. His delivery and timing were immaculate. By all accounts he was a gentleman. RIP sir.
