Eldorado Posted January 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2020 (edited) "Authorities have discovered the longest smuggling tunnel ever found underneath the Unites States’ south-west border with Mexico. "Stretching more than three-quarters of a mile, the tunnel ran from an industrial site in Tijuana, Mexico, into the San Diego area. "The tunnel was incredibly well-equipped and featured an extensive rail cart system, forced air ventilation, high voltage electrical cables and panels, a lift at the tunnel entrance and a drainage system." freetoroam Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2020 They do not need a tunnel anymore, they can just walk through the border wall
+Desertrat56 Posted January 30, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Wow! That makes me think that maybe the stories about tunnels through NM & CO for E.T.s are possible.

+DieChecker Posted February 5, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2020 It was an impressive tunnel. It's interesting that it was ever made, considering that anti-Wall people say even a wall will not work. Perhaps walls do work?
Myles Posted February 6, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2020 If it tells us anything it tells us that the border needs to be secured more.

The wall would have to go really far down to stop that. They still need to figure out how to stop rope ladders and sawzalls still. 2 1
aztek Posted February 6, 2020 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2020 that tunnel was built no doubt by drug smugglers, and is protected by them, no illegals use such tunnels, unless drug runners smuggle prostitutes as well. so those tunnels are not a way for thousands of illegals to cross our borders. these are 2 separate issues that are dealt separately. hey, prisons are full of drugs, so i guess we might as well stop checking visitors, and stop searching inmates, why bother, they still smiggle drugs somehow

Yeah, Trump said once we just have to build the wall taller than any ladder.

It's not like walls have not worked before. Not 100% but effective none the less.

aztek Posted February 27, 2020 #12 Share Posted February 27, 2020 (edited) Border Patrol discovers new smuggling tunnel in southern US https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/border-patrol-discovers-new-smuggling-tunnel-in-southern-us/ar-BB10u8Eh?li=BBnbfcL Quote Last month, federal authorities in San Diego discovered the longest cross-border tunnel on record. It extended more than 14 football fields and included lighting fixtures, cabling and an elevator, according to CBP. Customs officials have seen a spike in hard narcotics trafficking primarily of Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid linked to a rise in overdose deaths in recent years. At the same time, Border Patrol seized far less marijunana in recent years, according to the latest CBP data. The reduction is a likely result of U.S. states legalizing medicinal and recreational cannabis use, an agency official said. The tunnel discovered in Nogales this week was less sophisticated, allowing only enough space for one person to crawl through at a time, according to the official. as i was saying all along, legalization will lower the market for illegal drugs. A wall stops a poor person looking for a low level job. If that is our target group, it works. A wall does not stop a corporation or cartel from penetrating a market where billions can be made by investing a million or two on a tunnel.
