Eldorado Posted January 30, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2020 "Several panels of new barrier being installed along the US-Mexico border were blown down by high winds Wednesday, landing into Mexican territory, US Border Patrol said. "The steel bollard panels, at 30 feet (9 metres) tall, had just been anchored in concrete, which had not yet cured, when the gusts knocked them down late in the morning. "According to the US National Weather Service, the area reported gusts around 20 to 30 mph (30 to 50 kmph) around that time." freetoroam Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Will the mexicans have to prop them back up again for free or will they let the Trump-wall brigade in to do it for a small fee of $21.6 billion ? 1
Inn Spectre Posted January 30, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2020 A wall can be blown, but a wall cannot blow; not even if the Mexicans think it does.
+Desertrat56 Posted January 30, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2020 So, all the money for the wall was stolen and they just used movie set walls. Figures. This kind of thing happens a lot in places like Papua New Guinea. Corrupt politicians take money for a public works project and buy a family house in Australia or in this case, probably some south american resort and use paper and sticks to make it look like the job is done.
+and-then Posted January 30, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2020 I guess it's really fortunate that Trump stopped the massive flow by strong-arming the Mexican government on trade, then, huh? Whatever it takes
