Hospital A&E units have once again set the worst-ever performance figures for waiting times, as Covid pressures continue to weigh on the NHS. In the worst affected hospital, only 40.7% of patients were seen in four hours. Other waiting lists continue to grow, with record levels of people waiting nine months or more for surgery or other treatments.

And the Welsh Ambulance Service recorded its second worst response times to critical calls since new targets were introduced. It comes as a Welsh government scientist warned that children may be more susceptible to common winter illnesses this year, as lockdowns prevented them building up immunity.

35,623 new cases and 180 new deaths

“I work in an ICU [intensive care unit] in the north-west of England. Things are grim here. The north-west seems not to have had a reprieve from Covid-19. We were the first region to see cases rise again after the winter lockdown and they haven’t really dropped since.

"Several of our wards are now dedicated Covid wards, which means that non-Covid patients need beds elsewhere. Things are horrendous at the moment. Staffing is a big problem. One in five of the nurses on our intensive care unit are sick at the moment. We are fighting to get people to work any and every shift."

Its what fear does to a persons mind, the media have created an atmosphere of fear and death. you get the virus your dead. no-wonder they clamour for more lockdown. people have been scared stiff. literally with 5,000 extra excess deaths not due covid.

The experts including the scientist and Govt have been off in their predictions before in areas of policy. and the mantra by the Govt is one of were being led by the science, but that shows a Govt in fear. hiding behind the science. its up to the govt to take or leave the advice and decide on policy.

with 0.046% of the population dead due to Covid. and according to the experts less than 3% of the population exposed to the virus. it could take years on these figures. So, at some point the virus either becomes as common as the common cold or annual flu that we totter about the place without a care. just in the same way we never concerned ourselves with the 28,000 excess deaths, 50,000 excess deaths. we've had in recent years.

Life is for the living. and to that end i cant see many adhering to the lockdown if the govt tries to extend it. and by the signs the govt understand this. as businesses are starting to open up, factories etc.. from the 18th May.

Also I have heard, and believe it, that fear reduces the effectiveness of the immune system...

A&E waits have sunk to their worst levels in England since the four-hour target started, with doctors warning the situation is bleak ahead of winter.

A quarter of patients waited more than four hours for treatment in September - with even longer waits being recorded elsewhere in the UK.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-58904557

Cases of coronavirus were rising exponentially among five to 17-year-olds in September, coinciding with the start of the autumn school term in England.

The findings from the React-1 study also support the need for vaccine boosters, with a higher prevalence of double jabbed people testing positive within three to six months of their vaccination.

It came after the latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures showed that around one in 15 children in school years seven to 11 in England are estimated to have had coronavirus in the week to October 2.

I wouldn't find it that worrying. The Covid fatality rate is 0.6 percent. So out of the 0.6 people who get Covid and die. Only 6 percent of those people did not have comorbid conditions. (Assuming that the numbers are accounting for the issue I previously pointed out).

So if you get Covid and you have no comorbid conditions then your percentage of death is 0.036. (I think?)

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2020-08-03/who-says-studies-put-coronavirus-mortality-rate-at-0-6-video

This number does not account for complications of course. But you at least do not have to worry about dieing if you have no comorbid conditions. (Once again assuming the CDC numbers are accounting for the issue I mentioned which I'm not really confident they are).

I know I am a late comer to this thread, but I wonder what the mortality rate is for the flu? Anybody? Thanks!!

You have to take a pragmatic approach to life not an idealistic one.

If we could save everyone with no economic impact then we would. Be we cannot without creating economic problems for ourselves that will take 5 years to sort out. The long-term impact of unemployment in areas already run down and suffering over the last decade due to the 2008 banking crises causes health problems of its own. It causes failed marriages, drink and drug abuse, crime with those struggling to make ends meet.

The wider picture needs to be taken into account, not just focusing on the immediate. We dont close down the state for the flu, or chicken pox, or mumps, and there comes a point where the coronavirus death rate is comparable to those.

Not only that, my understanding is people have died from the lockdown... depression, suicide, heart problems, &c...

The UK could soon be recording 100,000 new coronavirus cases a day, the health secretary has warned, but the government is resisting pressure to implement its Plan B response in England.

Sajid Javid encouraged people to get vaccinated in order to protect the under pressure NHS, which he said is taking on up to 1,000 new coronavirus patients into its hospitals each day.

So apparently the Government claims to have all of a sudden come up with a super miracle vaccine(TM) that we'll all be able to have by Christmas! Clinics will be working 24/7 to jab everyone! Well, if you want an untested concoction whose effects have never possibly been given anywhere near enough time to be studied properly, knock yourself out. I'm sure the Government will include a disclaimer pointing out that they cannot be held responsible for any consequences that might ensue. If they try to make it compulsory though, then I'm afraid the Government's jabbers-with-little-needles may find themselves getting jabbed in unexpected places.

I think this is practically prophetic as now a lot of people risk losing their jobs if they don't accept the "vaccine". And my understanding is many who did accept the jab have gotten really sick and some have even died...

This is going a little bit off topic, but I would never donate for ads such as this. For one thing, I think there is evidence that the PTB already have cures for some diseases (cancer comes to mind, among others) but they are sitting on the cures, because they make too much money from people being sick.

Soooo ...... the testers of this much-trumpeted vaccine, that has (allegedly!) been tested so well, properly and in accordance with acknowledged good testing practice, failed to discover that the vaccine could have a life-threatening effect on those who are known to have severe allergies! These people would, presumably, have died if the correct antidote was not close to hand. And this was on the first day of vaccinating, so only low numbers involved. You have to ask yourself what other risks have been missed/not taken into account during this 'extensive' and 'thorough' testing.

I think I already posted this earlier, but for those who missed it, if you want to know how bad this "vaccine" (which my understanding it's really not) is, please watch (before it's utterly banned): covid.daystar.com. Very eye-opening...

They talk a lot about the "vaccine"...
