there is a legend that my grandfather in law told me,  during ww2 germans occupied a soviet village, most men they executed,  they caught young couple who loved each other more than life, they begged germans to execute them together, but german officer thought otherwise, he tied them up back to back, and kept them like that for several weeks, they did everything tied up, slept, ate, urinated, pooped....  after several weeks, german officer cut them loose, they walked opposite ways, and never looked back, he never executed them, they never saw each other again

Its now confirmed a man who died in France of covid 19 in the Dec acquired the virus from the community. Meaning the virus was circulating in the French community mid December.  And Sweden probable first case is likely in November. 

So, the virus was well spreading before any action was taken by anyone. As China hadn't notified anyone at that stage. So, the question is all these lockdown were months to late. Yet some countries have fared better than others. 

There are tentative links to the Wuhan military games. Which was held in October 2019. Its been mentioned that returning soldiers might have helped spread the virus.

But surely everything is now up in the air. If its confirmed elsewhere that the virus was in not only Europe but the USA in November / December. Then that brings to question social distancing etc.... And how have the world health experts got it so wrong. 

The world was 3 months to late. And are we not now dealing with the deadlier second wave. Or what are we dealing with. And Cambridge University believe the virus might have come into existence as early as September. In China. 

There's more to this virus than meets the eye.

We've been living with the virus for months before we knew it. lockdown not needed. just look at all the different measures taken by countries around the world and yet the "flattening of the curve" is happening across the board at the same time. hard lock downs, soft lockdowns, and no lockdowns.

The NHS policy of sending all elderly people back to their care homes to free up capacity seems to have sent the virus back to the care homes with them. yet again NHS Hospitals, go in come out with a disease, clap that on Thursday.

If we find that the virus was with us since Nov or Dec. That's shows that all putting deaths and infection stats up EVERY SINGLE DAY does is cause people to be pointlessly afraid.

But we can't jump the horse yet. Will wait to see if more countries start finding similar things.

My return to work has been brought forward from 22nd June to 8th June. Gutted. I can't be arsed anymore. Fingers crossed for the lottery.

It might mean as something as simple as Europeans being exposed to a similar strain sometime in the past. Or it might mean ethnics have genes more favourite to acquiring severe Corona Virus infections.

I lived in South Korea working as a US Contractor from 2013 - 2019, we left in December to go back to the States to take care of business. We still maintain a home in both locations, our business was taken care of in late April, so we went back to South Korea. Let me tell you this, it appears that we made the right choice South Korea has had no deaths or new infections since April, except for people trying to enter the country that are already sick and they catch them at the Airport or during the 14 day quarantine. Here the threat level has been completely reduced from 4 highest to 1 lowest, life here is completely back to normal. Business, schools, restaurants, markets and everything else never closed except in areas where infections broke out, this economy is just as strong as ever. The only requirement here at this is time is you are required to wear a mask in public, and that's common sense these.

I've seen mentioned Vitamin D, and lack of in ethnic groups. As they are not truly adapted to living this far North. it would seem evolution turn people white as a result of migrating North, so we could make the hormone known as "Vitamin D", which plays a vital role in keeping us in good health.

what's my bloody type, the best one. the type thats survived cholera, plague and every pandemic to hit Europe in the last thousand years. except for small pox. and based on your post, you could probably add COVID to that list. biology shows we are not all the same. luck of the draw.
