No Trump jr Trump senior. he's the real deal. I called it and I will say it again. Trump will win november.. the Dem's shot themselves yet again.

I said that because RoofGardener talked about the next 8 years being republican and etc etc...

but Trump will only have another 4 years if he wins in Nov. so maybe Trump Jr could follow him...

I agree Trump Senior is the real deal and should win but I fear there could be some very clever vote rigging
against him... but we shall see....

As I expect somebody other than Trump, probably Bernie, to win, I would have no reason to set up a basis for complaining.  But I expect you're right.  If Bernie wins, it's an honest election and if Trump wins, it isn't.  At least we agree.

We agree on nothing.  Nice try, taking my interpretation of what you implied and acting as if I said it.  I expect it to be a fair election regardless of the out come, unless there is proof to the contrary.

Trump only needs another 4 yrs. He has done what most can't claim. I will be president I will make the country better and you will remember me. The dems have lost already due to lack of being a group. they hate each other. the most vile group of people are dems sitting for coffee.

Ah... now THAT is a VERY interesting question.

Who can follow him ? Not any of the current "standard politicians", that's for sure.

I don't know; I really don't.

Iron Man ? Thor ? Captain America ?

I believe that I can guarantee that the next President after Trump will be a Republican.  But they or anyone else that is known (on either side) just won't be able to rise up to the standard Trump set.  At that point, there will be a great void and that could bring danger.  The Left could spring a comeback so fast that we could be on the verge of another Obama/Clinton run that will collapse this nation for good.  If we want to keep our Republic, then we need more people to rise up in leadership roles and not have to rely on just one person to do all the heavy lifting.  We saw just an inkling of possibilities in the Senate yesterday.  Can the positivity keep going now?  Will it be able to withstand the ever increasing negativity of the Left?

Well:  He got the Electoral College to support him, but then he set about proving there's more to being president than winning an election.

He has yet to make the country better; he has an awful lot of work ahead undoing the damage before he has anything to take credit for.

But he was right about one thing:  we will remember him.

The Dems have never been a coherent party.

Totally agree.... and they will have to be tough because we see how utterly ruthless the
Democrats and their Backers are when they don't get their own way..

We can't look too far ahead with all this but imagine if the Republican Party pulled off the
historic event of the First US Woman President......or  even the first First Black Woman President...
that would shut the Dems up a bit...

You in America will know more about who could be on offer.... but a couple of women that spring
to my Mind are Elise Stefanik who did well speaking up for Trump in the House.... and Candace Owens
has great potential, IMO....

And I suggested earlier Trump Jr might be a good follow up to Trump Sr ......

And you were doing so very good.  He has been making this country better since day one.  It’s just the hatred that gets in people’s way.

he has an awful lot of work ahead undoing the damage before he has anything to take credit for.

He has been repairing the damage, again, from day one.  But you are right that he still has a lot more work ahead of him to still accomplish.  I know, it’s hard to consider, what else is there really left to do?  There is plenty.  Obama did a lot of damage.

But he was right about one thing:  we will remember him.

You’re damned right!

The Dems have never been a coherent party.

They’ve been more coherent than the Republican party.  That is why they’ve been able to tear down this nation as much as possible.  But the pendulum is swing back.  Hopefully, the Left are smart enough to get out of the way??

I think he will win, and I am not really one of his fans, but I see reality.

I don't think there will be any vote rigging against Trump.  Most who would even have the power to influence votes want Donald Trump to win.  That includes China, Russia, North Korea, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

Now Donald Trump does has some extraordinary abilities to read and influence public opinion. Don Jr. was put into business by his dad's efforts, not his own.  He does not have the spark his dad does.

When Trump is done the magic goes with him.

It would be nice if the Republicans went back to a balanced budget and free trade, and personal and corporate responsibility.

If not 2024 will likely be a choice between socialists and  and corrupt fascists.

If this thread so far is any indication, I suspect the result of Trump's impeachment and acquittal will be one continual circle jerk among liberals while the rest of the world moves on.

I'd agree if I thought the Left/Globalist faction were even slightly rational or reasonable.  I don't mean average Democrat voters, either.  I mean the media 5th column and its puppets in the House and Senate.  I thought I was beyond being shocked by their antics but after watching and listening to Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi and Schumer, I realized that this is all they have.  They truly seem to have bet the farm on being able to beat him with a non-stop, hysterical media assault.  I don't expect them to even slow the pace of their attacks.  Nadler is already talking about subpoenaing Bolton.  He'd better hurry...that book Bolton is flakking for come out in less than 6 weeks.

That strategy, in tandem with a possible Sanders nomination, is apt to do grave damage to the Democrat Party.  I have to wonder what they'll resort to, to keep Sanders from being nominated.  I'm old enough to remember Reagan carrying every state but Mondull's Minnesota.  Trump won't manage that kind of victory but he could well win a larger margin in the EC AND the popular vote this November.  That little tantrum that Stretch Pelosi pulled at the end of the SOTU address might have been the last straw for a lot of Independents and even a few Democrats.

I think that other than the 40 +-% of Americans that are hardcore believers in the MSM and their fairy tales, the rest are able to see the benefits of this presidency and even if Trump's personality is offensive, they'll still go with him rather than a group of haters that want nothing except his demise.   I hope Sanders gives them hell!  I'd like to see a Sanders/Warren ticket  :w00t:  Hopefully, he'll mention giving AOC and the rest of the squad, cabinet positions   Make the choice as clear as it possibly can be.

It is a forgone conclusion that the Republicans will keep the White House in 2024, strictly from riding in on Trump’s coattails.  I would love to see Elise or Candace.  I love Candace, I don’t think she is capable to be President.  Perhaps she could be on a female-dominated Cabinet?  But whoever (Republican) gets in, they are going to have to go further and on their own and can’t rely on what Trump did or this nation’s prosperity could be in danger.

Sometimes it's really hard to take you seriously.  Not often, but sometimes it's a challenge.  Could you elucidate a bit on why Russia, China and Kim would all like to see Trump re-elected?  Leaving aside the 5th column nonsense about him being in Putin's pocket (preposterous, zero evidence), why would Putin want to deal with someone who is pounding him with sanctions far worse and consistently than Oby and the Hildebeast ever did?  And XI?  REALLY?  How has a Trump administration benefitted the Middle Kingdom enough that Xi would want it to continue?  Even Kim, who Trump has tried the friendly approach with, he isn't getting ANY LOVE from the Donald.  Zero sanctions relief.  He did delay our combined training with the South but he didn't remove any forces, he even added THAAD to the peninsula IIRC.  So, do tell, why would he be their choice?

Republican incoherence is a relatively new thing, introduced by the Tea Party.  Before that they were a respectable group.  They had a few losers, but then, so does everybody.

Had it not been for Hillary, Sanders would have taken the 2016 nomination and beat Trump.  Trump can thank Hillary for the win.  There are only three relevant questions for the 2020 election:

1.  Does Sanders still have the appeal?  Short answer:  Yes among young voters.  No among older ones.

2.  Is the Blue Wave still viable?  Results of special elections and some redistricting seem to say yes.

3.  How many from each side will come out and vote?  Looks like it's going to be a big turnout.

The TEA Party woke everyone up to what was happening.  I loved the Bushs, but they were too much, “Kinder and Gentler” and led the RINO party to the slaughter.  Trump has shown that in order to maintain a more perfect union, one needs to be able to bully the bullies and push back.  That keeps them in check.
