Does your translation software only do present tense? It confuses people.

What kind of false reality world do you live in? This was a impeachment trail, not a criminal trail. There was no criminal charges brought for, only political charges which didn't have enough evidence to convict. These people undermined him and were insubordinate, they should be fired. The PEOPLE elected Trump to run this nation, to do what he campaign on and promised them, the people he is firing were undermining that and trying to stop it. Only way a boss can be fired or removed if he does commit a criminal act, Trump didn't commit any criminal acts, they tried to convict him for making a phone call.

Edit: Here is 4 Facts that completely destroys the Democrats case they had against Trump. Click Here.

Wonderful.  Doubt anyone will read it though,  they might get a dose of reality *sigh*. Thanks though!

Trump is innocent of "high crimes and misdemeanors."  The Senate has spoken and that;s the end of it.

BUT, once he is out of office, he can still be tried for crimes committed under statutory law.  This is not over.

And then there are civil suits.

Doug

Dear oh dear oh dear, vindictiveness knows no limits does it. "We're going to go after him even after he's out of office! We will hound him for ever! the tyrant will never be able to rest! And you're accusing Trump of being vindictive and vengeful?

Exactly, they understand vindictiveness and are so consumed by it they project it upon others.

Trump is their waking bad dream; it occupies their days and gives them sleepless nights. His is an atypical, abnormal Presidency, firmly founded on grassroots, conservative America and not reliant on the vote of the metropolitan coasts. He operates outside normal political convention and is a bull in the china shop of liberal ideals. He's anathema to everything they hold dear and what was accomplished during the Obama years. They see him as a dismantler of liberal dreams and brood and obsess, incessantly, about him. He's a Frankenstein's Monster of a Republican, the likes of which they had never conceived in their worst nightmares.

What's the problem?  We arrest and try criminals who have never been president, why should Trump be any different?

And one who has used the office of the President to further his illegal activities should be hounded.

No.  On the innocent, the guilty and everybody else without much discrimination.  Trump is an equal-opportunity vengeance seeker.

One thing to note here:  I didn't start this thread.  That was somebody else's idea.  So at least one other person thinks Trump is a mean-spirited, vengeful little man.

I think I know what Trump's revenge on America will be.

Trump has a near-panic reaction to germs and a disdain for scientific and bureaucratic expertise.  During the ebola outbreak he severely criticized Obama for not taking draconian measures.  So far he has been relatively quiet about the coronavirus, but that is likely because it hasn't yet affected many Americans.  But what will Trump do when it does?

During the ebola crisis Trump called for shutting down air travel, banning the return of aid workers to America and criticized Obama for sending troops to Africa to help.  He could impose these restrictions and shut down interstate transport of food and merchandise, as well as restricting travel.

Trump has been saying without any basis at all that the epidemic will abate when warm weather gets here.  Maybe.  But he's betting millions of lives on that wildass notion.

^ Regarding the above: You seem to be getting wilder and wilder and wilder and wilder. Now the Tyrant is going to shut down interstate transport of food and merchandise, using Coronavirus(TM) as an excuse, when his real reason is to get his revenge on the American people?

But at the same time you do seem to believe believe that Coronavirus(TM) will kill millions, even though the number it's killed's so far, even in China, is pifflingly small? You seem very very fond of these sky-is-falling-in hysterias.

This is just a look at what Trump MIGHT do; it is not written in stone.

Also, I don't think it could properly be called "revenge."  His anger would not be adequate justification, even for him.

But Trump is incompetent where anything scientific is concerned.  He already shut down the CDC branch in charge of finding a Coronavirus vaccine (He said we already have enough vaccines.).  China immediately hired a bunch of them, so now their efforts will be directed toward saving Chinese, not Americans.

We are still in the very early stages of what will probably become a pandemic.  The incubation period is 24 days.  A lot of people now infected and not symptomatic will be dead in a month.  Probable losses will exceed those of the Spanish flu - unless it can be stopped first.  And Trump is doing nothing.

Losses at the moment are over 1016 Chinese and 13 Americans.  According to China's National Health Commission, 42,638 people are currently infected.  The recovery rate, thus far, is 1.7%, which doesn't sound too promising for those 42,638 people.  Overall, the Spanish flu (which is serving as the model for this epidemic/pandemic) killed 1.1% of the total population.

Will Trump do anything about it?  Will he even try to do anything about it?  CAN he do anything about it?  We expect action and leadership from our president in the face of disaster.  Where is that leadership?  Playing golf at Mar-a-Lago?

But if Coronavirus(TM) is supposed to come from China, mightn't that be the sensible thing for them to be doing? Or are Chinese not so important as Americans(TM)

If we can stop it there, we might not have a serious problem in America (But the disease is already here.).  So in a sense, it is the sensible thing to do.  But it was China that did it, not Trump, not America.

See Post 192.  Want to revisit this topic in a month and see how many have died?

But if you're saying that many people alive today will be dead within a month, that'd hardly be Trump's fault for doing nothing would it? Particularly if anyone who might have the Mystery China Plague is undetectable. Trump could hardly have prevented that in that short space of time. Do you want him to close off the borders and intern people just in case?

You know where halos came from?  In medieval churchyards the church fathers put metal sheets over the saint's head to keep pigeon droppings off them.  The early ones were square, but to save metal, they started making them round.  So Trump's halo is keeping the pigeon droppings off him?

Elvis has already left the building, meaning the virus is no longer Chinese; it's worldwide, now. We can't even effectively control egress to our country to keep it out, what with unscreened illegal aliens still traipsing across our yet-to-be effectively secured borders. We need a vaccine.
