Dad accidentally orders 6m long dinosaur

Recommended Posts

Still Waters

A dad who bought a dinosaur online for his son did not expect to receive a six-metre-long statue so monstrously big it had to be dropped into his garden by crane.

When Andre Bisson's four-year-old son Theo asked for the "the biggest Carnotaur you've ever seen", the Guernsey father set out to do just that.

He bought the statue online for £1,000 and thought he would be getting a three-metre-long dinosaur. When it arrived, it turned out to be nearly twice the size.

Andre found the online listing after his partner mentioned an amusement park in Jersey, Tamba Park, was selling its old stock of dinosaur statues.

a decade ago or more, intrepid air and sea museum was selling their mig 21 from intrepid deck for 6k iirc, i wanted to buy it and put in my summer house backyard,  who else has a soviet fighter jet in their backyard, but it would cost 2x as much to remove it, and deliver is,  wings and tail would have to come off, for transport, then put back, that would require hiring special people with special tools, another 10k easy,  i was also told it may be an issue with a town rules. so i gave up the idea.
