What will the next Trump crime be?

Might?  Your party has leaned so far to the extremes that James freakin' Carville, the ragin cajun himself, is saying they've lost their minds.  The nominee may well be a self-styled Socialist.  OTOH, if he keeps winning and the DNC simply push him aside at the Convention, it may well destroy the party and ensure a Trump win.  It's quite the dilemma the party elders have.  Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch, IMO.

That's possible.

Obama used some "magic levers" on our economy and they worked exceedingly well.  He made two moves that crippled the economy - intentionally, IMO - and all Trump had to do to reignite prosperity was to remove them.  Obama turned the EPA over to run amok with regulations that so burdened small business that many just closed the doors.  He also made it clear that his Obamacare WOULD be the law of the land and business owners fled the scene in large numbers to avoid the crippling costs associated with it.  That is what businesses DO.  Always have, always will.  In a free country, these people with wealth will invest when it benefits THEM.  They will take their chips and walk away from the table when they see they're being set up to lose.  If a Dem wins in November you will see the progress that's been made in the last 3 years stop, then reverse.  It happens all the time.  Their whole outlook and ideology revolves around taking from one group to hand it to others in return for votes.  The wealthy that they demonize will simply give them the middle finger and take their money offshore until the situation changes.

We keep saying Obama did this and Trump did that but neither had much effect on the economy.  Obama's policies mostly remain in effect and have gradually built the economy up again, while Trump tries to claim the credit - but that's what politicians always do.

Back in the 1950s, we had a 90% income tax on the wealthy.  But nobody paid it.   Why?  Because there were lots of "loop-holes."  Business construction was not taxable.  Businesses could claim tax deductions for wages and salaries.  Re-tooling was a deductible business expense as was purchase of equipment.  There were a lot of this kind of thing.  And businesses made use of them, spending money that put people to work - and setting themselves up for more profits in the future.  Want to make the economy boom?  Do this again.

Apparently,we HAVE A WINNER.  The Left are coalescing around abuse of power again because of Trump tweeting about inequity and Barr agreeing.  It'll be interesting to see how far they can beat this nag down the track before she collapses from the abuse.  SMH.

The Mueller minions stated to the DoJ that sentencing would be inline with tradition for Stone's crimes, THEN they asked for better than DOUBLE what his crimes would normally have been sentenced.  When Barr saw this, he formally requested Berman to reconsider the length of sentence in light of Stone's history and current age.  She has absolute control over his sentence and she hasn't made it known yet how she will rule.

I think the Leftists are scared spitless about the coming Durham revelations (indictments).  They needn't worry themselves too much though.  Unless any trials can get a change of venue outside the DC Circuit, they'll never convict a single one.  Evidence be damned.

Would these be the ones that have been 'imminent' for months? :sleepy:

What's good for the goose and all that.

At least in this scenario, they will actually hear the evidence and witnesses before throwing it out.

If I remember correctly, the clintons were charging the secret service in the range of 10,000 to 11,000 per month to stay in servents quarters in the back of the ny  property. Funny thing but it was the amount of their mortgage payment per month.

You do remember correctly.  You remember a false claim correctly.

Quote

Secret Service Payments: It claims that "[t]he Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent" for the quarters used by the Secret Service at the couple’s residence in Chappaqua, N.Y. This is false. The Clintons legally would have been entitled to receive $1,100 per month (not $10,000) but refused the money.

Could you post some links that aren't from a right-wing nut site?

All I've found are sites like the Washington Examiner, which ranks right up there with the National Enquirer as a fact sheet.

In short, there may have been some sort of investigation, but I very much doubt the Clintons (or the Dems) have anything to worry about.

An opinion, no doubt, forged by hours of deep, "scientific research".

Got links?

Nah, I don't waste my time doing research for people who ignore it anyway.  Durham began his investigation into the lead up to the election and how the FBI and CIA were handling it then he announced the investigation had transitioned into a criminal probe.  The results are supposed to be known in late spring, early summer.  Will it still be a whitewash?  Possibly.  I don't trust anyone in DC any longer but Barr and Durham seem to be the best chance so far that obvious criminal behavior by Obama's people will be exposed and punished.  I'll say this much, if there are no indictments of anyone after everything that has been exposed, America is DONE as a nation of "laws and not men".  We go downhill into vigilantism after that.  Watching a two or three tiered level of "justice" isn't going to met with yawns any longer.  People are going to begin to take it into their own hands.

I don't often quote myself but this is valid:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/barr-taps-network-of-prosecutors-to-review-russia-ukraine-investigations

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/doj-investigates-the-investigators-5-internal-probes-underway-on-russia-ukraine-and-more

Barr is a pretty savvy old goat.  He's meeting the attacks from the Left by putting the onus on them to find valid problems with each of the investigators he has appointed.  It seems he's serious about getting to the bottom of this corruption.  Note that he's appointing prosecutors OUTSIDE THE BELTWAY...

I dunno.

I heard Clinton was going to go to jail- she didn't.

Then there was the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity- disbanded with nothing.

Then the Nunes Memo- nothing again.

Then the IG Report- still no jail time.

And now we have the Durham investigation.

I might have forgotten a few, but the trend is pretty clear.  Crying wolf over and over- or as my Christian friends call it, "Bearing false witness".

The Dems at least impeach/convict.  Stones, Flynn, Manaford, Cohen,  and  Papadopoulos just from the top of my head.

 Holy moses, and what, the Dems with their "The Mueller Inquiry will rid us of the Tyrant" ; "er, Impeachment, that'll get rid of him for sure!" haven't been crying wolf, for goodness sake? What, they got a few of Trump's minions on some contrived charges? That makes all the time and effort they've wasted worthwhile does it?

I'm not so much concerned with what the next crime the Left charges Trump with, but the hounding he and his family will get after he leaves office.  After he dismantles the Left's agenda for generations to come, the TDS rage and jealousy will encourage a few to try extracting their own version of justice.

John Brennan keeps bringing up the Durham investigation on MSNBC, noting he was advised months ago that Durham will be contacting him, but wonders why he hasn't yet.

Brennan comes across as "nervous like a turkey on Thanksgiving".

My guess is that Brennan is a major target, and he won't be questioned until many others have already given their accounts.  The guy will get roasted.

Certainly the Dems have proven what happens when "investigations" and "prosecutions" are done hastily and with purely political motivations: the results are sloppy and easily overturned.

I guess we are going to see how much more cautious and carefully-done ones pan out.

There are just so many of the Left involved, that no single person can be nailed, a safety in numbers.  Sort of a "Murder on the Orient Express" scenario.  But there's going to be someone that will break and then the whole house of cards will come crashing in.  It might be Biden trying to protect Hunter.

They may do... but they'd be wise to consider his power AFTER he's out of office.  He has a following that won't end when his term(s) are finished.  He could actually have a chance of creating a third party that would destroy one or both of the current swamp engines.  The man draws massive crowds and is growing in popularity.  They'd better tread carefully, especially if Barr and Durham turn out to be swamp dwellers.  All hell is going to break loose.

I can't find any sources outside of Republican extremist sites that think there's anything to investigate.  Most are saying it is "functionally over" and is being kept in an active status only to appease Trump.  I guess we'll find out.  If Durham can't produce anything before November, then he might as well stay home.

They cover this one up at their own peril.  Average Americans can see a statute that has OBVIOUSLY been broken and see that the transgressor has been given a pass.  Clinton, for example, broke the espionage act MULTIPLE TIMES.  Comey all but admitted she was ignored because they "knew" she was going to be the boss after the election.  THAT isn't a conspiracy theory, it's a simple case of government being lawless.  People aren't stupid and a bunch of us have had enough.

That's just it.  Republican accusation: "I heard that Durham has lots of dirt and so and so is going to jail."  They never say what that dirt is other than all the evidence we have seen is "fake".

I can't really argue against that but I really wonder how politically active he will be after he leaves office??  Knowing him, he loves it too much and I can see him run rallies for the next President, but beyond that, will he be a king maker?  He could just go after the Establishment Swamp on both sides and build the masses against the Swamp.  One does hope that the relationship between Trump and Barr will be more like David and Jonathan and not Caesar and Brutus.

I think you're right.

This will serve as a good test case for whether "and then" and his fellow travelers are depending on reliable sites or not.
