copenjackenhagen, very funny pic. i have seen it some time ago. The sadesst of that is i have found in the some USA citizens whit that global knowledge. Examples: Some guys ask me if Argentina was Brazil capital city, or if we had tropical beachs in Buenos Aires.... wacko.gif

Well that relies on that there is alot of school's out here in the U.S. that don't teach what they are supposed to, kid's are not willing to learn now day's and would rather be lazy and jack around and not care about school. So in fact the I guess you can say the U.S. blink.gif is underperformend in education, as there is alot of stuff that is waited to be taught until college that could have been taught in high school.

For all the Bush bashers, what was he supposed to do? All I hear is criticism, but I never hear any ideas.

483985

Here is an idea. How about Bush focuses on fixing his own country and stops trying to worry about everyone else so much.

Anyway, as for my 2 cents worth. I believe that if the Bush administration wants N Korea to get rid of their Nuclear program and wants them to allowed UN inspectors in, thats fine.... As long as it happens to the US and every other country as well. Would the US ever allow UN inspectors to check their weapons? No.

Oh, also, everyone should remember that America is the only country that has ever actually used nukes (on populated areas) and there was no neccessity to drop the 2nd one. That was dropped to show the Soviet Union just what they were capable of. Japan were willing to surrender. Now if that isn't a case of boasting about weapons.

our "poor" are the most well taken care of in the world. you know of another country where a person with no job and a family can have a heated house, eat good food, watch cable tv, and complain on their cell phone to a friend that their government check is late ?

as for UN inspectors, you comparing us to north korea ? thats a joke right ?

Umm very interesting video, it show's a very blatant attack against the U.S., and how north korea want's everything. What do they think that we bought our right's to a gold medal's in the Olympics, no we earn them fair and square it is just because america has so many cheap at home gym equipment why we are so fit.

I don't get it thou, why does South Korea need invaded they are a good country unlike the North. They are the people that escaped the wrath of the north, and are just in the land that the North so desperately want's back.

Well I really don't know if the second bomb was boasting or not, but the other thing that has to consider is that was during another president's regime not bush's, so Bush can not be held accountable for that, he is just trying to stabilize thing's nowday's and protect his people. After all we are the biggest country, but should not neccesarly be the biggest diplomatic power, but with so much land to protect and so many asset's to the country and it's stabilization a certain stance should be taken to protect what we have and live for.

I am also starting to remind the forum as it is starting to drift off that the topic is on North Korea what it effect's and how to stop it and who can do what. It is entirely no way a forum on why or why not President Bush should or should not be in office, that can be saved for another forum.

To me all countries with a nuclear capacity is a danger, the possibility of a direct strike, the fall out and contamination, the materialization of a dooms day device. All the different ways I guess a direct strike is better then dying from radiation poisoning.

The atom bomb is a "paranoia" weapon to some extent.

WIlling to surrender? I suppose they were sarcastic when they said "No we wont surrender" after the first bomb was dropped?

Good point the atom is a cold war relic. in to which people know the devestation and consaquences of one, and will do anything to stave off being on the recieving one. If you are hit with an Atom bomb it could effect several generation's of family's, as radiation could mutate family's.

Nor is an Atom bomb a convintenable method of war really anymore, do it's weight and transportation, and that newer technology can produce more damage, or lesser damage depending on the target your trying to hit.

If were to ever get hit I would go hide out in the mines in the mountain's near here for a year or so, I would be hidden and the prevailing wind's very seldomly blow my direction so I would make it out alive.

Not to mention it is dishonorable...

I can actually. Thats our country. Besides, our government blows as well.

Besides, I believe that there is really no reason for any country to have nukes or any other WMD so why should one country be allowed to have them and another not. I think it all should be outlawed. N Korea and America.

If WW3 does breakout, i'll be willing to fight for my country

484695

So if you were korean you would fight against the US? Fascism in action. Im glad all people dont think your way. Death is not Heroic or Honorable. Its violent, bloody and happens fast.

485103

Yeah, but i'm not Korean, i'm Canadian, if I was Korean I wouldn't cause I know the difference between right and wrong

485108

Yes, but I think he's assuming that the person sees the state of the country and which is good and bad.

The problem with sanctions is who suffers from them.

Would sanctions hurt the governement of Korea or just the people?

483921

I agree with you totally...

I am really not looking forward to being forced to fight in a war I dont agree with...

Not saying anything about the troops, its not worth fighting for a cause you dont believe in...

just my opinion...

if north and south unite who will be in charge?

probably stalin the second i mean kim yong ill. the only thing kim yong ill cares about is his army. the food and other things are given to north korea by japan and other countries.

North korea facts:

More than 200,000 prisoners are being held in just 5 of the 12 prison camps of North Korea, a nation of less than 20 million people. (the number of additional prisoners who are imprisoned in the other known and unknown camps, some of which are said to be completely underground, is unknown)[1]

North Korea's State Security Agency maintains at least 12 political prisons and about 30 forced labor and labor education camps.1

At least two of the camps are larger in area than the District of Columbia

Camp Huaong is 3 times the size of Washington, DC.1

At one camp, Camp 22 in Haengyong, 50,000 prisoners toil each day in conditions that U.S. officials and former inmates say result in the death of 20 to 25 percent of the prison population every year.1

In the last three decades more than 400,000 people are believed to have perished in the gulag.[2]

The many violations of human rights that occur include:[3]

Systematic use of torture

Arbitrary and brutal imprisonment

Extreme deprivation and starvation (one daily ration is 100g of broken corn)

Intense forced labor

Frequent 'accidents', disfigurement and death due to oppressive conditions

The nation is characterized by injustice, such as:3

No due process

Arbitrary public execution

Punishment of up to 3 generations for the accusations against 1 family member

Caste/Class system based on hereditary family background limits opportunities and/or internally exiles at least 2/3 of North Korea's people

Imprisonment or execution of anyone who attepts to defect to South Korea or who has had contact with South Korean Christian or political groups

Pregnant Women forcibly repatriated to North Korea from China who are found to have been impregnated by Chinese men are subject to forced abortion or forced into labor by kicking them and then (if it survives) made to smother their newborn child. (According to some reports, the bodies of these newly born children are then collected and used for some kind of 'medicine'.)

President Kim Jong II uses starvation as a means of ethnic cleansing and religious persecution: [4]

In most rural areas there is no medicine, running water, heating, food, or bandages where as the capital city, Pyongyang, glitters with nightclubs, casinos, luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants and state-of-the-art hospitals.

Humanitarian Relief Experts say that more than 4 million North Koreans have died of starvation since 1995 despite the fact that North Korea receives more food aid than any nation in the world.4

Lee Young Kuk, former bodyguard to President Kim says that millions of dollars of food is stockpiled in military complexes and used to feed soldiers and the ruling elite.4

North Korea illicitly exports narcotics to Russia, China, South Korea and Japan

The North Korea manufactures 1/3 of all Methamphetamines sold in Japan

Between 4,200 and 7,000 hectares of land are dedicated to cultivating the opium poppy, which is used to make the illegal addictive drug heroin.[5]

The USA are becomeing increasingly hostile, as are some parts of the EU. Let us not forget that the UK and USA (along with russia) founded nuclear warheads, and are armed with hundreds of them, not includeing response missiles. Things like this and Iraq prove what hypocrites we are, and expose our double standerds.

North Korea is infamouse for it's huge and brutal army. We aren't about to charge in there without a lot of backing and a large case.

You know when the tsunami hit asian continent back in december, the first thing that popped into my head was that, North Korea tested a nuclear weapon out at sea, provided that it didn't blow up when it hit the water couldn't of that created a big enough shockwave to create a tsunami?

Well that or the illuminati.

If that's true, they've got a lot of blood on there hands already.

Yea you have a point what was the final death total from the tsunami, I heard various report's but I've heard 250,000, and I wouldn't put it past the North Korean's to try something like that.
