Still Waters Posted March 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2020 A secret World War Two bunker has been unearthed during tree felling work in the Scottish Borders. Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) recently discovered the structure in Craigielands Forest near Moffat. It is thought the bunker was used as a base for an Auxiliary Unit - sometimes known as Churchill's "secret army". The specially-trained teams were often made up of local estate workers who knew the land in the area "like the back of their hand". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-51800809

Myles Posted March 13, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2020 I have tossed the idea around to build a bunker on my land. For emergencies. Tornado shelter. You can buy shipping containers very cheap in the states. I can get a 40' waterproof shipping container delivered for around $3000. I'd cut an entrance door in the top and have it buried.
