Boris has it

Duke Wellington

Recommended Posts

On news they said people are asking why he and Charles got tesed, Jeeze! Are some people really that stupid.

Boris is the blooming leader of the country, he HAS to be tested. And Charles, well its our Charles, the son of our Queen, next in line for the throne.

It was only a matter of time. - But that means he's picked it up in the last 10 to 14 days.  all the cabinet and "experts" he's been holding daily briefings with will most probably get it.

By the time this all ends. we'll find its gone through the population, because lets be honest it was here a month or more before anyone realised.

we are not seeing an increase in deaths out side the norm. it seems those who get the flu vaccine and playing in extra time are the ones who are dying of coronavirus. okay, before someone points to the 1 or two younger people who have sadly died, this was always going to happen. and these remain the exception to the rule.

it'll all be over by Easter.

There was a story about a guy who died of it. He was in his 40's. He had motor neurone disease. Thing is, he was only given 2 years to live = in 2018.

I agree. I think this is going to last for a long time, especially when you see trains fill with people and then you have this

Think we need to distance ourselves from the  americans. Lockdown =   no admittance for any one in the next couple of years for anyone from the us.

Sorry America  you need to control and educate your next generation.

While I hope he gets better with no problems I find it hilarious that the leader gets it lol.

Well, the Health Secretary got it a couple of weeks ago ? (oh.. and was in a cabinet meeting with Boris at the time... hmmmmm... )

The entire strategy is to drag it out as long as we can.

It could be over by Easter. If they just let everyone catch it and accept the 200,000 dead. That doesn't seem to be a solution though...

Or we can buy as much time as possible to make ventilators and research treatments and let the outbreak happen in manageable waves, which is what we are doing. Hopefully keeping it below 20,000 dead.

Yes, he announced he had it on social media.

I like the Tories, I hope they get better, but I still find it funny. How strange has this year been so far? The country rejected Corbyn and we have basically got socialism in place for the meantime to cope economically with Corona Virus.

Completely agree. The US has shown it hasn't the sense to handle this crisis, with young people partying and old people putting money over lives.

When they grow up, we'll have them back in.

My regular train usually has about 50 people on it.

I went on it yesterday to go food shopping and there was 3. If they arent nationalised they will go bust.

The young are still partying because they think they will get the money soon which the old are putting aside.

Complete disregard to their fellow man and their elderly families. The young are acting as if their inheritance is 2 meters and 2 weeks away.

I've got a sun tan. Nothing like the old current bun to boost the imminue system. Top up on the old vitamin D.

Coronavirus is on its way to becoming just another seasonal regular to contend with.

The health sec Hancock has it.

Millions have had it, most without knowing. It's becoming clearer by the day.

It's not affecting the annual death rate.

I do not believe that. I think it's simply typical young mindset of invulnerability and challenging authority.

The US and UK populations have spent the last several years roundly disparaging experts. Is it any surprise the young people who've grown up with this attitude from their elders now dismiss experts advice?

Yes it is  posible.

But It does not  take away the fact that people are dying and the young can see that. They can not dismiss that.

I think many believe they will be ok because they are young and fit.

If that is how they are thinking, it shows they do not give a damn about their older generation or about people with illnesses. This is when I asked myself, why do they not care? Thats when I came up with ' inheritance ' with some of them. Some maybe even do not want the responsiblity.

Best say goodbye now then, as I've had the flu vaccine due to being Type I Diabetic for 37 years.

I had a nasty virus a couple of years ago that has still left me with issues today, and I'm a fairly fit 47 year old. I know how hard something like this would likely hit me.

I'm honestly getting sick to death of this flippant dismissal of the risk.

I'm not getting at you in particular steve, but you are usually one of the first to quote statistics from organizations such as the WHO, yet you're here talking about suntans while leaders and expert scientists around the world are warning us how dangerous this is.

Professor Peter Piot, who was given much of the credit for discovering Ebola stated that this virus is "much, much worse than Ebola", not due to the symptoms or the mortality rate, but with how contagious it is:

i watched a video of a  soviet ph.d in medicine, he was in charge of health of astronauts in ussr,  a lieutenant general, iirc.  he developed a simple and effective way to keep his ground crew from getting a flu,  he mixed 50gr of warm water, with 10-15 drops of hydrogen peroxide,  used a syringe, no needle, to spray it into nasal passages,  2cc in each nostril,  keep your head sideways, close the other nostril and "inhale the mix, it wont go into lungs, very similar to neti pot,   one needs to do it 2 times a day in the morning and evening,  he said none of his crew ever got flu, while everyone around was sick during flu season, idk if it can help you not get infected with c19, it was against regular flu, but they are both viruses, and both are killed with hydrogen peroxide, so it may help,  it definitely wont hurt, i'm doing it for several days now,  will see if it helps me.

Your certainly in the at risk group. Stay at home self isolation. But I'm sure with your history of health problems and the constant risk of infection over the years from the common infections you'll be more aware and experienced than most in the precautions to take.

As this strain of coronavirus becomes part of the seasonal norm. It'll be yet another ongoing risk to contend with for those with underlying health problems. A Vaccine hopefully will be the answer in limiting that future risk from the virus.

The vast majority however will have to rely on their own immunity. And life goes on we can't stay locked away forever. Because as we emerge from isolation the virus will strike again n' again.

Once testing is done on a larger scale and we better understand those who've been infected we'll see millions will have had it. We'll all be back in work after Easter.
