"Dr. Strangelove syndrome or the 'alien hand syndrome' is an extremely rare neurological disorder.

"If you have this condition, your hands will act on their own. Though it is usually the hands that are affected, sometimes your legs may also develop a will of their own.

"You may sometimes feel that your hands do not belong to you if you have this condition. It is more common in children than in adults.

"This rare disorder is also known as Strangelovian hand or anarchic hand. Dr. Strangelove syndrome was first recorded in 1908."

Yep, I've experienced this myself. Although the bouncers at the lap dancing club won't listen, blame it on the alcohol and throw you out.

My father lost control of his left hand, started moving on it's own. Turned out he had a brain tumor (which eventually was identified as one of many tumors from lung cancer). Once he had the tumor removed, he regained control of his hand.

Yeah, it is just awful when you start absent-mindedly *********** in public due to alien hand syndrome.  And are people helpful and understanding?  No!  They call the police and want to press sexual harassment charges.  Talk about stigmatizing mental health issues amirite? An where are people the most laissez faire about it all?  The New York Subway of all damn places.
