Dunno.  'Born to Kill' has an episode.  Is 'Born to Kill' an A&E series?

19_Kilo

This wackjob and his 14 year old girlfriend have got to be the two people that the movie "Natural Born Killers" with Woody Harrelson and Juliet Lewis was based on.

Wow..at age 19 he went on a murder spree, killing 11 people in about 4 weeks...10 of them in just 8 days. Including his gf's parents and two year old sibling. He was said to be fairly normal as a kid but was born with a gimpy leg and a speech impediment that caused some classmates to tease him. He was sentences to death after conviction and was fried in Old Sparky a few months later.

His gf claimed she was abducted by Starkweather and was a forced and not voluntary accomplice. She was still convicted as an accessory and did about 18 years in prison.

Two things strike me on this story: He was a virtual poster boy for the death penalty. And back then the State of Nebraska was admirably swift in meting out capital punishment. Hell, if Starkweather had done all that killing in California he might still be on Death Row.

OK., 3 things: the story adds to the debate of "nature vs. Nurture, that is: are psychopaths and sociopaths born that way, or made? I've always thought that it can be both, or either.

Peace.
