Given those quotes, the article blatantly misrepresents the facts.  The case was thoroughly debunked, and even the first sentence is bull**** - the witness statements were only interesting in their inconsistency.

BTW, back in 1989, many, many people had decent (non-digital) cameras/ video cameras.  Pity they never used them.

I'm still torn on that one. It does look quite real..... You can even make out a pilot.........
